General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Reflection

It seems so surreal that three years ago, I was tentatively going out dressed without my wife's knowledge, to two years ago with her knowledge, to a year ago when she decided to be supportive. Things have changed so fast but for the good that even today I still find myself not totally believing it all. Guess it's 50 years of suppression that is just now going away.
I look back today and Wonder why I was SO afraid of going out dressed and today I go out with or without my wife and I don't even worry about it. LOL
Also durn the last three years, I found the local Tri-Ess chapter, joined, and now the chapter secretary. My wife has even now joined as a SO member.
I believe Winston Churchill said it best, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".

Sorry but it was Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Right you are, Lydia, in his 1933 inauguration speech.

Hi JoAnn, Righto.

Well, since your thread has gone OT a litte, here's something WC said that I get a kick out of (I don't really know if it is true) It's an exchange between Brook Astor & Churchill.... in the "when insults had class" category.

Astor: "Winston, If I were your wife I would put poison in your coffee."

Churchill: "And if I were your husband Madame, I would drink it"

Probably apocryphal, but attributed to George Bernard Shaw:

GBS (to a woman at a party): Would you sleep with me for a million dollars?

Woman: Well...um...yes, I suppose I would.

GBS: Would you do it for a dollar?

Woman: Of course not. What kind of woman do you think I am?

GBS: We've already established that. All we're doing now is bargaining over the price.
I'm not that kind of girl.

I knew either FDR or WC said this, but swore it was WC. Oh well, it was before my time anyway. LOL

Yes, it does feel unreal at times. The three years have probably gone by very quickly for you, given all that change happening. Good to hear about the Tri-ess involvement for both of you.
