The Enigma Man. Michael Jackson

Post by Jeannie »

Hi Ladies
Seems like I don't see much if anything about the death of Michael Jackson on here. I'm a bit surprised. If Michael wasn't transgendered I don't know who is.Now that Michael Jackson has died most have opinions of who he was as a human being. Good or bad. That's fine. I have my own take on what I think about Michael.
I believe he was a product of a dysfunctional home like most of the population. According by his own admission his father was an overbearing ,verbally and physically abusive man plus a stage father which is usually a death sentence to a talented child.
I remember the interview where Michael talked about himself being an 8 year old child.

" I would have three hours of tutoring and then go to the recording studio for hours until I went to sleep. Across from the studio was a park and I would see all the other children playing and I would cry."

Michaels childhood was stolen from him by his fathers dreams of wealth and fame. His only pleasure was work because that is all he ever knew and really understood. He was taught nothing about life but only how to work and make money. He was surounded by vultures who had their own best interests in mind at Michaels expense. The jury will always be out on his legacy. Was he one of the greatest entertainers of all time or a pathetic sexual and gender confused drug addicted pedofile or both? I believe he lived a miserable, solitary life and other than the stage, his death will finally bring him peace and happiness. It's very sad yet no one seems to understand. He is the textbook example of child abuse. Is it me?

I don't feel one way or another, I just wish they'd get him off the TV. I'm sick of hearing about it.

Hi Jeannie ,

I was also suprised that no-one had posted anything on Michael , I would have done so myself but I've had less free time lately with overtime at work due to stocktake .
I also agree that he was transgendered , maybe he just didn't accept it.

His music was not my cup of tea , but having said that , I will pay tribute to him because he was a great performer and has made a massive contribution to the entertainment world over many decades.
I am saddened to hear the news of his passing and my heart goes out to his family , friends and fans who will all be devistated at this time.
The media coverage has been full-on , its similarirty has brought back memories of the day Elvis died.

Hi Hon
I hear all kinds of opinions and comments about Michael Jackson. Being who I am I have a different perspective and my own opinion. No matter what anyone thinks about Michael, he was the textbook example of child abuse.
A beautiful ,young, talented boy could only be turned into a pathetic, lost soul by the most deadly and dangerous weapon ever made by man. They have destroyed more lives and familes than all the wars in history combined and continue to walk this earth. A million nuclear warheads pale in comparison to the damage they have done and continue to do to this day.
They are all around you and you never know it. They could be your coworker, your best friend or your teacher. They work their magic in the shadows and the cover of night but we all see their handiwork but don't have a clue. They are the abusive parent that spawn nothing but monsters. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree even if the tree is rotten to the core.

Hmmm, I sense you have strong feelings about this, Jeanne? :?

I do not know if Michael was TG or not, but he was messed up. I am really tired of the talking heads on the News Channels that were taking great delight in castigating him a few short years ago, all but calling him a pedophile, now waxing elequoent on his greatness. Pathetic losers, all of them.

That he had surrogate sperm to have children points to physical and/or psychological problems of some kind, that may or may not indicate intersex (the high voice even when speaking) or castration at a young age. He has been decribed by mature women as childlike, though that is not necessarily the result of castration but perhaps the abuse that seems documented.

Probably we will never know if one of the family does not break silence, or one of the women who had his children. Though he is said to have had a slim but strong dancer's body just a few weeks before his death during a physical, drug abuse seems indicated, and possibly eating disorders as well.

He had fame, he had riches at various times, and yet we all see him as a sad, tormented little guy though he was not all that short, and you get the sense he had few social graces or personality beyond his famous public, reclusive, persona.

Very sad, but please, enough is enough. Farrah Fawcet fought a grim, trying battle with cancer for years, and also had her problems with fame and addiction. Where are the acolades for her, just because she got old and left her youth behind her? Of course, she wasn't male either.

Poor Farrah Fawcet died on the wrong day.

Post by Jeannie »

Hi Carolynn
Farrah did fight a long, brutal but valiant effort against her cancer and she was overshadowed by The King of Pop. Go figure. You are so right. There is barely one story on any channel about her. She started out as just another pretty face but proved that she had the talent to do some great dramatic acting and plays. She died with self respect and dignity.
Then we have Michael. He started out with enormous talent for a 10 year old boy and we watched his slow decent into Hell on the nightly news for the last 25 years. He peaked at age 24 with "Thriller" and it was all downhill after that. He died a lonely, tragic figure most likey from drug abuse. The advantage in dying is the people who always blasted you will say nice things about you when you're dead.
Michael, like Elvis will be worth more dead than alive. Jimi hendrix who died the same way has had 25 new albums in the last 30 years. Now comes the best part. Everyone will be fighting over who gets the rights to his future earning. His kids are in for a wild ride. They are not humans but a commodity worth millions and everyone will say how much they love them and why they should have custody. I feel sorry for what is coming for those little kids. They, like their father will never know who their real friends are.

One song that says it all

Post by Jeannie »

Hi ladies
I've always liked Randy Newman as a songwriter. He wrote a song back in the early seventies called"Lonely at the top". It was written for past, present and future Michael Jacksons. Give it a listen sometime.
Michael Jackson is not any different than any other star who was driven to an early grave. He just represents the sad state of humanity today where profits were more important than a childs well being. I hope his children don't suffer the same fate.

Lonely at the top

I've been around the world
Had my pick of any girl
You'd think I'd be happy
But I'm not

Everybody knows my name
But it's just a crazy game
Oh, it's lonely at the top

Listen to the band, they're playing just for me
Listen to the people paying just for me
All the applause,all the parades
And all the money I have made
Oh, it's lonely at the top

Listen all you fools out there
Go on and love me,I don't care
Oh, it's lonely at the top
Oh, it's lonely at the top

And he "don't want no short people around here" , so I took his advice and didn't listen to any more of his songs

Farrah Fawcett has had a bit of publicity here in AU , but the Herald-Sun newspaper put the full page artical on about page 6 , Michael Jackson has dominated the first 5 pages.

For those who have had enough ,
Please remember , Michael Jackson was loved by millions around the world and his death is a major news story , the saturation of the news headlines will continue for some time yet , so get used to it or excercise you rights , your right to hit the OFF switch.
Like I said ,"I wasn't a MJ fan myself" but I fully understand the media's reaction.

Earlier this year we had a media frenzy over a footballer (x drug addict) that made a comeback , this story dominated the news . I couldn't understand why this was such big news so I took the initiative and turned the radio OFF.

Hi all,

Count me in as part of that group that's sick of hearing about this. I told Roxanne that, if she kept up her daily flip-through of the TV channels looking for "Jack-O's Dead!" items, I'd be taking a walk every time. And now I come here, to my refuge against a stupid world, and I find the Gloved One haunting me even here. Ah well, what can you do?

While I'm here, though, I'll opine. I have very little patience for this kind of dramatic exit ("only the good die young" or "it's better to burn out than it is to rust" and all that crap); too often, these damaged souls have the means to help themselves but are so lost in their own public image that they choose--usually wrongly--to squander their millions on the trivialities that make up fame rather than on the construction of a better life for themselves.

Farrah Fawcett is so much more deserving of our attention and admiration. Not only had she gotten "more real" in her final years but she chose to make her suffering public in order to educate us about the horrors of cancer. My wig's off to you, Farrah. Michael, on the other hand, chose not only to remain maniacally private but to spin his own pain into something inscrutable and inaccessible to most mortals. His life was the stuff of legend and myth; his death will be no more than that, alas. Though Farrah Fawcett's life was a charmed one, too, her struggles with illness and her death were made eminently more human by her decision to forsake that charm. While Michael Jackson chose to keep his soul resolutely anchored in Neverland, Farrah Fawcett came back to us, here in the real world, for both her benefit and ours.

Having said all this, my condolences nevertheless go out to the families of both stars; it's never easy to have to bury your children, whether they lived in the limelight or in the shadow of the commonplace.

Love,
CJ

Hi Hon
The media is beating this story to death but unfortunately it's what sells today. " Money talks and real news walks" I heard one blurb about Kim Jung il threatening to totally destroy the US and also part of the same message from Amadinejhad but CCN had to cut the story short to go live to the Neverland ranch.
Now the real fun begins for Michaels three kids. Just like Elvis, his estate will multiply 1000 fold. His CDs and memorabilia are are flying off Ebay up 700%. Michael is worth more dead than alive. His children are now the hottest commodities on the face of the earth. His family is claiming custody and so is his exwife. The surrogate who had his last child will be next. These kids are not humans, they are a cash cows and will be treated that way just like Michael was treated by his dad.
Those poor kids. They will never know who their true friends are just like their Dad. Now they are suggesting that maybe Michael had a sperm donor because the childrens skin color is too light. What the freak is next CJ?Maybe Anna Nicoles old boyfriend will claim he is the father of the children. They are all working hard to destroy three more kids. It's sick but everyone loves to watch this stuff.
I have to go visit my Aunt Pearl and enjoy a true reality show. These poor little kids are going to get eaten alive. Maybe Joe Jackson will get his own reality show" Show me the money" No matter what anyone thinks about Michael Jackson,it's very sad CJ. I told you Hon,animals are the humans and humans are the animals.Hugs.

Count me as one that codemns a pedophile...that is so sick. Not sure if he was, maybe just liked younger folks to hang around with...and not for me to cast rocks. If he was, well...express elevator to hell for him. My fave music video is Fleetwood Mac's Gyspy...and toward the end a few little girls..but to me its innocence and maybe what we wished for us when we were younger http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1zp5s ... ypsy_music
Ok..so MJ was strange...like Donnie Osmond isn't. But, think of this 1500 Phillapino prisoners actually went fo this. (heck, try that in the Army) Question is, do I want 1500 muderers chasing me or 1500 Zombies.....I don't have that much ammo, so gotta look my best :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5nZcFIf ... re=related
Ok so well..he was whacko...but so many great people are...and offering no excuses for him, but he did some classic cuts!

Thanks for showing an open mind on that point DeeDee , I get sick of people judging "guilty until proved innocent" or "guilty no matter what".

You get the talk-back radio callers say "of corrrrrssssss he was a peadophile".
I ask those people one question , "were you there"?
I then say to those people :
The only way you could know for sure is if you were there yourself and witnessed the act , in which case that makes you an accessory after the fact because to my knowledge you didn't report it to police .
It is madatory to report child abuse therefore you have committed a serious crime by supporting child abuse and that means you are not much better than a peadophile yourself. You should turn yourself into police without delay.

Thats how to totally confuse and destroy their argument

Just my opinion

Post by Jeannie »

Hi Ladies
I don't feel that he was a pedophile. Michael was a man child. He himself has admitted he slept with children but I think to him it was like a sleepover when your 10. I don't believe he had sex with the children and it has never been proven in a court of law.He wrote all the songs from his album "Dangerous " in his treehouse at Neverland. He was severely damaged by his father who is the true child abuser.
I just made a pizza and put on CNN. There was Joe Jackson saying" My son will be bigger than he ever was in death" Nothing better than a fathers love.

I started a thread on Michael Jackson several years ago-it's buried in hot topics. I had wanted to talk about his attempt to present himself as neither male nor female, neither black nor white, but mostly it turned into discussion of was he a pedophile. To my knowledge it's never really been established- he plead to something but also seemed fragile enough to me that his lawyer might have told him to use his money to avoid a trial. So who knows?

He got to live what for many is a dream, fame, fortune, and talent, and got to discover what a nightmare it can be. I've never envied him his money or success and to tell the truth I'd rather remember him as a little kid who actually seemed to be enjoying himself at the time.

Some times my daughters say they want to be models. They are both gorgeous and probably could be. But I always tell them I wouldn't wish that on any teenage girl. And that's just modeling, nothing at all compared to what Michael had to endure.

He and his music did mean a lot to a great many people however.
