Hello! Is anybody home?I think not.
Hi ladies
First we have Michael Jackson who was a classic example of child abuse and I hear nothing. Then the wife of South Carolina's Governor Sanford comes out with a press release and I hear even less. If you are member of the glbt community you should be outraged. If you read the following and say" Yeah! That makes sense!" You should not be on this forum. Just a thought girls.

Jenny Sanford: “Gay marriage wrecked my family"
Sullivan’s Island – South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford released another statement today, this time blaming her husband’s affair on the declining moral values in America.
“Of course I’m not saying that Mark is gay,” Sanford said, “but he may as well be. The moral decay in this country has claimed another victim and this time it was my family. Our marriage was perfect until these laws started passing around the country. Clearly the slow dissolution of the sanctity of marriage in America seeped into Mark’s psyche until he no longer felt compelled to abide by our vows.”
Social conservatives were quick to show their support for the first lady’s statement.
“It’s finally happened,” said Rush Limbaugh, conservative radio personality. “America, I’ve been warning you for years that gay marriage would destroy the American family and look… there they are, a husband, wife, and four children — destroyed. When is this going to stop America? When will the liberals be satisfied? When all the marriages break up? This wasn’t Mark Sanford’s fault, this was Ted Kennedy’s fault. Sanford didn’t cheapen the value of marriage, he was victimized by the cheapening of marriage.”

Oh, man, thanks for that one, Jeannie. That was just hilarious. Seriously.
Some folks on either side of the partisan line will bend over backward (or is that forward?) to avoid having to claim personal responsibility for the fiascos they've turned their lives into.
Really, I feel for Jenny Sanford. Better it is for her to ascribe her failed marriage to America's moral decay than it is to her husband's wanderlust. Next thing you know, she'll be citing Obama's skin colour as the reason for her own inability to prevent herself from tapping her foot while listening to Kanye West or R. Kelly. Sheesh!
Jeannie, about Michael Jackson:
I'm staying quiet on the subject of his abuse as a child for the same reason I'm keeping mum regarding his alleged pedophilic tendencies: I wasn't there so I don't know what the truth is. And let me here drag a hidden assumption out into the light: I don't trust the media, especially not while there's a feeding frenzy going on.
When the dust settles and opportunities arise for analysis and reflection, I might have my say. Until then, I'll just stand back and watch the vultures and buzzards and other assorted talking heads duke it out in the limelight.
Love,
CJ

Boy, if that's not a cry for help, nothing is."Of course I’m not saying that Mark is gay,” Sanford said, “but he may as well be."
Of course, she also said, in another interview:
I'm gonna go ahead and blame her, for all this forgiveness she's perpetrated over the years, turning a blind eye to all the evil homosexuals destroying the country. She enabled it.I leave the door open to it. In that spirit of forgiveness, it is up to the people and elected officials of South Carolina to decide whether they will give Mark another chance as well.
...and oh jeez, Rush Limbaugh, does anyone even pay attention to that pillhead moron anymore? That fat hypocrite should be the last one to have anything to say about anyone else's wrongdoings.

I know Jennifer.
Hi Jen
There could be a nuclear war tonight but people would rather hear about celebrities on the news. It's nuts but that's the way it is.
I just thought that Jenny Sanfords convoluted reasoning and twisted logic was the funniest thing I ever heard. It made no sense at all.
I just watch CNN for the fun factor. Sarah Palins rambling speech about everything the other day was killer. She is suffering from delusions of granduer but doesn't know it. That's always the case CJ. She is like George W Bush in heels. I love it!
We are all doomed so you might as well laugh and have fun. Our so called leaders are out of their minds but are hilarious. Amadineijhad said"There are no gay people in Iran" Yeah. That's right. Hugs ladies.

Gay folks in Iran either have forcilbe SRS and are then called women, deported if they are lucky, or killed. Officially, there are no gay people in Iran. That was the Clerics' solution.

I kinda thought Sarah was more like Dan Quayle and Bush combined, both misspoke with great facility.
I gotta admit the press overall and in Alaska has not been kind to Sarah. The Turkey Slaughter incident was classic, while she was talking about the meaning of thanksgiving, there were men in the background sticking live turkeys into beheading and blood draing machines.

Well....it seems like the article about Jenny Sanford was a parody wriiten by a SC version of THE ONION. A number of news services did pick it up and are a little red-faced now. http://thediscust.com/?page_id=2
Thats their site and here's the article ya gotta read some of the stories on the right side. http://thediscust.com/?p=547
Now as far as Sarah goes...no parody needed.
Hugs all

Bless you CJ. It takes real courage to not pile on when everyone else assumes guilty until proven innocent.
I suppose the traditional salute may not be the best way to show my admiration for you, but at least I can publicly say that if I was ever charged with a felony, I would want twelve people as wise as you on the jury.
Hugs,
Bernice
