I rarely wear a bra, unless going out, so on average, a lot less than an hour a day.

If I am just around the house, I usually do not bother with a bra. Other days it depends on what I am doing. I wear one as long as 10+ hours some days, only a few hours other days. I have some fitted bras that are really comfortable, and the longer wear time is not a problem, but I am not well enough endowed to worry about a bra just around the house. I usually wear one this time of year when out because my nipples are very sensitive and the movement of cloth over them gives a "headlights" effect that can be a bit embarassing. :)

The "on average" aspect certainly leads to deceptive numbers. I wound up guessing an average of about four hours - but I never wear a bra for four hours out of the day! I either wear one a lot more (~12 hours on weekends) or just for an hour or two in the evening when I get home from work. Of course when the New Year arrives that average will jump to around 12 hours as I finally start living full-time as a woman.

POLL How many hours

Post by Pat »

I have my bras professionally fitted, and wear bras all day and at bedtime I put on a leisure bra (sleep bra), in other words I have a bra on 24/7 and feel that I am not dressed when I am bra less.
Keeping them cupped comfortably.

I too had to guess. I use the two sided surgical tape I get from "The Breast Form Store." It opens up a new world of fashion. I have had the tape work for up to 24 hours. However if you tend to sweat (perspire) or if it is hot the tape will not hold as well.

Next week-end (Sept 20th) I will be helping work our Tri-Ess booth at the annual Roanoke Pride in the Park so I will have to wait and see what the weather will be like, but I will probably end up wearing a bra. Don't want the girls going south out in public [-X .

I felt an average over a week since there are many that have say a dress up day when the SO isn't there or a day off that is thier only time to wear a bra.
Anyways I see this poll is kinda going the way I thought it would.
I do not sleep in a bra though will have to look up leisure bra's...

Hi Dalindra,

I really love wearing a bra! I am a total braholic. They're like part of me. I don't feel complete without a bra or halter, rarely go out without one on, usually have one on at home.

If comfort permitted, I'd wear a bra every day without fail from dawn till bedtime. But...

The weekly average is reduced because after about 10 hours (12-14 hours at the longest) I need relief from the same discomfort many GGs feel after a long day. Maybe 1 day a week I may go braless, also for relief.

Also (in summer) I may not wear one when an obvious bra under a light top might turn into an issue with outsiders. In winter, since I can always meet people in layered clothing, my average hours per day are higher.

So though nearly every day I'm in a bra 10, occasionally 12 hours, I end up being one of the majority at 5-7 hours because of the "time off."

P.S. No sleep bras. In bed I just wear loose flowing nighties or femme jammies.

Love, Robyn Katie

2-4 hours for me. I change into a female outfit every night after dinner , and stay that way until bedtime. On weekends, it depends on what is going on. I Try to ride my bicycle a few hours every Saturday, and Sunday too, if there's time. But if it's raining I'm likely to be in a dress all day. I do all of the cooking at our house, and I'm almost always in a dress or skirt, and a cute apron when I do. If I'm in a dress, I'm in a bra as well.

I selected a low number (2-4) because I was including those unfortunate 'gap' days when I don't dress at all. But when I am dressed, a bra is a MUST. The clothes just don't look or feel right without one. I don't usually sleep 'en femme' because it slows me down in the morning. I have trouble just switching to male mode and dashing off - I want enjoy the morning in the delicate night wear. But when dressed for bed, I need a soft fabric, wire free bra with some of that synthetic pillow padding wrapped in sheerest nylon to fill it out (forms don't last in bed). Wearing panties absolutely requires wearing a bra, and vice versa. It's like cowboy boots and a huge belt buckle - only more fun.

Short answer-not enough!

Long answer- a few hours a day Sept thru May about 4 days a week. I don't wear them in hot summer weather and don't wear a shirt either whenever I can get away with it- one of the advantages of being male.

And when I don't wear a bra, I tell myself I'm going "braless" — that daring concept — and —

When I go without a shirt, I'm (what else) ...... topless.

Whoo oo oo!

It's all in the thinking.

Dalindra:
Interesting question and I enjoyed reading the answers that you received.
I usually come home and shed the work clothes, at which time I put on a bra and my forms. No need to change to panties as I wear them all of the time.
Funny thing though, my wife, at her age, has just about stopped wearing a bra and I seem to have taken up the torch. She looks so good to me wearing a teddy instead.
I like to wear my teddy when a bra could lead to unwanted questions. Oh, and it makes me feel very fem.
Bye for now and
