Clothing sizes

Post by Susan »

I know many here and in the real world find clothing sizes are not constant. Here is a link to an article on the Times website showing why, as women get bigger, the clothes they wear can actually be a size smaller than they used to buy.

Lies, lies all lies.

My granddaddy once asked what size shoe he wears, "well I wear a 9 but a 10 feels so good, I buy an 11."

Shop on ladies! and try on!!!

All of this makes me think of a joke. "Donna's on the new Perspective Diet. She fattens up all of her friends so that she looks good by comparison"! Funny how we all lie to ourselves instead of using the best exercise, pushing away from the table. :-k
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.

Its spread to men's clothes too now. I heard a radio program on BBC Radio 4 this week where a reporter went to six different shops to buy a 36" waist pair of trousers in each. He took them back to base and the true sizes ranged from 38" for 41.5" for the waist.

Vanity sizing for men has arrived.
