Hello all. I am getting a little tired of brief episodes of incomplete dressing while alone at home or on a business trip in a hotel. I am thinking of taking a trip just for myself, to a place where I know no one and where I can "go all the way." I would bring my own clothes (but always open to shop for more) but would need to buy a wig and makeup, hopefully get some help with each. I am not necessarily looking for a transformation service, just a friendly place that would be open to helping me. I am fine shopping for myself in drab, but have never been out en femme.
So, where would you go? I'm open to all recommendations, at least within the continental U.S.
thanks
Danielle S.
Wnere would you go?

The most fun I've ever had with this was a fall camping trip. There was no one in the park and waking up in my sleeping bag in my slip was a very nice experience. I went to Prince Galatzin State Park in Pa in mid October. The foliage and weather was also great.
Of course the makeup and stuff doesn't really work so well in a setting like that although you could do it. Walking through the woods in my leggings and camping skirt made me feel somehow closer to nature, although I suspect that is all in my mind, men are perfectly natural creatures also. But I guess the whole mother nature thing was at work in my psyche. And remember that except for the skirt, I was wearing what a GG would wear in such a situation.
Several years ago I had a similar experience staying in a small cabin in the woods alone. That had the advantage of better night time illumination-candles don't work so well outdoors when there is nothing for them to reflect the light of off.
I know that this is not the sort of thing many think of when they think about getting in touch with their inner "girl" But if you like the outdoors this can be an incredible experience.

You need to attend one or more of the national meetings!
BE ALL in Chicago
Southern Comfort in Atlanta
Diva Las Vegas in (surprise surprise) Las Vegas
Those are just three, there is one in the fall in the Cape Cod area. Name escapes me. As well as one in Arkansas. Each year or there abouts, there is a cruise for "us." as well! Have not made that one yet but working on it!
You will meet some really great folk who don't care what you look like.
Go and have fun !!!

Esprit http://www.espritconf.com/ is coming up in just over two weeks, that's another destination that I know has meant the world to some folks on this forum. Despite being an easy drive from where I live I've never been.
