Minou saying hi!
Hello all,
I am delighted to be here. In fact, I am so glad that a place like this exists. My desires and behavior often don't lend themselves to be discussed with most people around me. But I am sure you can all relate to that :-)
So, how about a little about myself: I am biologically male and live as male. For as long as I can remember I have been crossdressing. I have spent lots of time in my life going through other people's closets, trying on their things, later getting my own, binge-purge etc. and I have been struggling with gender identity and all the conflicts around living a lie or not, what choices to make, who to come out to, how much to expose my desires to others etc. and what the impact on my "public life" would be.
I think what defines me the most in terms of crossdressing are the following: (1) I don't try to pass as a woman and have never wanted to. (2) I incorporate diapers in my crossdressing. (3) I incorporate women's clothing into my public male persona in order to mess with gender attributes. So had you been to a certain airport in the US last week, you would have seen me dressed in women's black crop pants, a black mock turtleneck long sleeve leotard, a bright green long sleeve women's scoop neck t-shirt (showing off my leotard's neckline), and my black wool tights with a nice braided pattern poking out from underneath my crop pants. Or today you would see me wearing brown leggings under my relatively conservative button down dress shirt with a red/beige/white pattern and rolled up sleeves.
Besides this, I am a dad and family man.
Voila, c'est moi.

Welcome to our sorority, you will find we are all different but the same here. For example I go out in public, so far with no untoward comments. You have found IMHO the friendliest place on the internet, please join in the fora and come say hello to me an our sisters in the chatroom sometime.
Best wishes

Hey Minou and welcome to the forum!
I feel the same way about messing with the way people define genres, especially when it comes to clothing. Even so, my shy personality means that my shenanigans happen at detail-level. I must say I admire the way some people are able to challenge other's perception, or to remain unbiased by it.
See you around on the forum, then.

Hey Minou, I admire your attitude on messing-up with genders
You know, I believe there' s no clear line that can be drawn between being male and female, so why not be creative about it?
:):)
Gender is not something that one is, it is something one does, an act… a "doing" rather than a "being". (Judith Butler)

Hi Minou,
Welcome to the forum. It seems you've accepted yourself for who you are and don't worry much about what society thinks. Kudos to you!!
I wish the rest of the world could open their minds a bit more. Individuality starts with "I".
Hugs,
Kyra

When I am away from home and those that know me I also do mixed gender clothing presentations also. That is more of who I am as a CDer. Yea get a few looks but I just continue with my business like there is nothing wrong with what I am doing, as there isn't.
