Opinion 2 makeup and other stuff

Post by NieA »

EDIT: I guess its been a while now so im taking the pics out. Thanks again for the comments and input

Honestly Im getting a bit confused em on where to place certain threads coz theres a lot of sections but I think this should go here since its mostly about physical stuff.

I suck at makeup I mean hey, ive been doing this for like... uhm am I doing this ok or no? I think I shouldnt use red eyeshadow but I dont know my head is going nuts for it at the moment

My hands freakishly shake and it is reaaaallly difficult for me putting on the eyeliner. And I have trouble using the lash curler to do the lashes closer towards my nose hohohoooho I think a 12 year old knows more abuot this than me hihihihihikkkkk

Also since some asked in the past ill jsut add the other pics here to show the hair to do it in one go. Its been said that... based on my facial structure I should have big curls and that this straight hair is a huge mistake...

These are on a bad day, so I guess what do you think? I mean bad in the sense that this is the time when the left-over facial hair from my fail bloody laser sessions are growing back after being tweezed, im just covering it with make-up so does it work, I mean I know theyre jsut pics but does it hide the hair atleast a bit?

And why do you need a... lip liner?

EDIT: pics out

Again, like before, if anyone has anythign negative to say feel free to say so, I mean all inputs are appreciated and are helpful.

Thanks again

I guess I ask about these things coz... ... I don tknow... who's to ask, without receiving some hostility added to the comment. I mean you know...

I've never seen anyone wear read eyeshadow before, but it seems to work OK for you for clubbing, not everyday wear.

There are tutorials on Youtube to help with makeup, from glamour drag to everyday wear.

pixiwoo does a bunch of them that are pretty good. She even does a red/bright pink color

I don't do makeup but your pictures look like you do a pretty good job of it. Maybe you are just falling into the trap so many teenage girls do of never being satisfied with your appearance.

Hi, Nie -

The red eyeshadow does look good on you, but I would not put it on as heavy as you did if it's for every day use. A little bit of that red goes a long way, but if you're only wearing it for club wear then it looks fine the way it is.

Honestly, I don't think your makeup is too bad except for maybe the red eyeshadow. Since I doubt you're going clubbing often, you should work on more subdued makeup. Also, you can work on creating more highlights and shadows to emphasize or de-emphasize various parts. It's a good start.

I have also learned the "hard way" how to apply makeup and it is a very challenging process. One thing that might make you feel better is that young girls start experimenting with makeup at an early age. At a recent dinner at a friends, his 12 year old was applying sparkling eye shadow. We do not have the benefit of this early training. Also, womend get help and suggestions from professionals, whereas I have not had the guts to request a makeover at the department store Clinique counter. Many of the other girls in this forum have.

You have a long face, which is similar to mine, but different than the oval face of many women. The fashion advice is to but a shorter wig with more volume, which is supposed to fit your face better.

I havent really worn red while outside before I just got it not too long ago(after a year of searching) and just fooling around with it hihihi, I just use regular grocery brands when I really do hohohoho. maybe next time ill do a normal and ask if its right or not

I do intend to make the red work somehow coz I will wear it in an expo so... well some said too heavy so I guess I will be blending it with something, first time I tried it I didnt actually use a lot of red it was jsut behind the black, ill try it a few more times before expo day.

im thinking of wearing the makeup with this(which I havent bought yet argh), or something more punkish and a way shorter skirt instead with striped stockings
Image

As for my hair, that is my real hair im not wearing a wig. Thats why I really think seriously before doing anything to it coz it took a while to grow it to this length. its been getting ghastly really and I havent oiled it for months now, i mean damn.

Michelle what do you mean? I do not understand wahhhh. I mean, what exactly should I emphasize or de-emphasize? I dont know how to make a shadow. Do you mean with a bronzer? This is funny, I once thought a bronzer was a cream, I jsut found out its in powder form.

that drag queen makeup video seems familiar to me.

Thanks all for the input, its been helpful.

What I mean is if you apply a dark color on high spots, it'll make them appear to recede. If you apply a very light color it'll bring that area forward. It's not necessary, but it can help some.

Michelle, do you mean the nose? I do have a big nose. My mom earlier has been bugging me for the Nth time to get a nose surgery and rectify it. seriously... i want to get that but its too expensive. moneyyyy please come to meeeeee

I read about it though but im I dont know. it says put the white as you said on the ends of the nose then the dark on the sides to make it pointier. but im not really sure coz i dont want it pointy i need it like smaller on the sides right? argh so in theory, i should use darker there???

F- me that dress is gothically shaggable. very nice. I like girls who wear that kind of thing.
well i know very little about makeup compared to everyone else here because i ahve a very mixed relationship with it.
As a GG i guess rather than a CD as a kid i obviously like any little girl experimented with makeup early. not really cas i liked it but cas my dad sells beauty products from one company to another like a consultant to companies introducing products to another country etc anyway it meant we got free crap (really was crap makeup too lol mostly gave it as bday gifts to 'friends' ugh)
besides this i had bad skin entering my teens and through my teens and well still except now i get times of ok skin so easier to not wear makeup at times or way less makeup. my skin loves not wearing makeup not gets better the less i wear it LOL but my mum and sis are crazy and repulsed by bad skin so they really encouraged me to cover up my bad skin with makeup. evil brainwashing my partner called it I agree but i was bought alot of makeup tried a load of different crap.
my conclusionmake up sucks backside but hey advice would be match your makeup to your skin type. as in if your skin is dry some makeup will go on all peely and if its greasy some makeup will give you worse skin and others will help dry it out.
makeup girls in shops are young and no nothing except the training to push their products but dermatologists know alot.
prices do mean something. cheap makeup will be of lower quality go on worse etc.
erm bronzer makes your face darker i think if you're wearing that sexy number you should go Pale. i love pale women many people do but all people who will be into that kinda dress will be.
I find white makeup makes my nose look smaller but i have small features anyway. i never use foundation and don't know how but i when i am made up just use a very pale cover stick rubbed on my face then set it with loads of loose transparent white powder then brush off excess. looks natural or more powder for more goth. thats a good base then i either wear no eye makeup if I'm butch but make my eye brows thicker or use lots of black for goth. you can't go wrong with black eye liner eh and you can make it as subtle or flambooyant as you like baby.

seriously... i wish i was pale. but im ehm... well...

i love pale women, no words can better describe.

Ill try some stuff these two weeks, i only have 2 weeks to learn a lot before i wear the bloody dress. oh yeah i bought it..... i dont know if it will fit though. it will be either too big or too tight and it wont fit me..... or even if it does fit me... the arm length will be short so... god help me.

ill post something maybe this weekend here. just to see if makeup works enough if i skip on tweezing and jsut go with that and shave too.

unless i figure out that shadow thing, ill go with reasonable lightening. on that hate nose.

seriously my skin sucks coz ive been living as a normal guy for like... 25 years or something??? so i dont know if i can still fix this horror that is me.

Dante, you can try oil free moisturizers too and wear sunscreen.

Kim, you seem to be into these sorta clothes based on your avatar. i wish i can go to a tea party... id go with you but wah youre like too far away

haha i do wear oil free moisturiser when i use it my skin was so bad nothing worked even pills even the most aggressive pills you can get was only a temporary fix all i can do is wait to slowly grow out of it. if you aren't naturally pale you could just wear a thin sheen a white powder to lightne if your complexion is good or there is this hard core goth foundatoin I've seen advertised on websites v expensive though. you thought of just wearing a line of black shadow?
either way evem if you go natural that dress is going to look so cool

Well, I dont know how id take a pic of myself though when I do wear it... too bad. maybe I can ask someone to take a pic of me, who knows. unless someone else from this place goes there

I actually tried it on already, its medium and its a bit big for me on the upper part. and the skirt side, its toooo long I must find 4 inch heels or id end up with my argh size 10 1/5 platform gothic. I bought it when I didnt knew my foot size yet... so its a bit too big for me, I mean really aghhh
