So what, you say. This is Australian Fashion Week. Don't most of the models wear skirts?

DonnaT, those Aussie fashions would classified as just slightly extreme, I doubt as to whether you see any one walk around our streets in some of those styles.
NieA, The main difference in skirts and kilts is the amount of fabric that goes into a kilt.
The kilts that our Scottish regiment wear used to have a pleat 5 inch, folding back 4 inches, and there was approximately 25 yards used in making the kilt. (These figures are only approximate as I am running on memory of some years ago)
Some of our Scottish members may also have more details to share

I guess thinking about it, the scotts were berserkers and greatsword wielding infantry right and not horsemen? I guess maybe they really never did wear anything beneath it, like in that movie braveheart from what I remember... but ofcourse thats jsut a movie... ok im off, just too much knight video games today
makes me think really now which is better for us to wear underneath if we are wearing a skirt... or a kilt. I mean you know... in terms of controlling em that thing when you get aroused. wont that be... a... welll... uhmmm

My friend has a sign that says "If I wore something under it then it would be a skirt." I disagree with that as my skirts are very different then my kilt. The answer to what is worn under a Scotsman's kilt.........
His Boots.
His Boots.
