My children are grown up and now I hang my "fem" things in my own wardrobe with malewear.

Depending on your children's ages, the time may come for a family talk as was eluded to. Otherwise, the box 'em up and hide made be the only alternative for now!

I have what you could call a steamer trunk, it's been in my family for years, which my SO thinks has all my "junk" things from back home and the lock is jammed.

It's out of the way in the spare room and she never gives it a second thought.

When the kids still lived at home, I had a locked footlocker for all my femme items. My wife knew, and also knew she could look inside any time she wanted.

Since the kids moved out, it's easier now. I just keep everything in the bedroom closet (hers, in case the kids show up) and in my dresser.

In earlier days I had all my clothes stuffed to plastic bags hidden in the attick and rarely used closets. When I told my wife about Anouk, on of her first concerns was whether my clothes were in proper place. So nowadays my dresses hang neatly in my closet.

Where to keep things

When my kids were growing up it was simple. My wife had 1 and a half closets and I had a half of one.

Used to be, when the chidren lived at home, all was in a card board box in the attic of my shop.

Now everything is in the bedroom dresser and in the closet. Which makes things difficult as wife and I are not on the same schedule.

This weekend I will move all down to one of the basement bedrooms and will not worry about disrupting her sleep. Then I can dress when I want, which is all the time I am not working.

This spring we will move to her (ours, she says :)) house and there I will have one room to myself, with a lockable door.

Her "kids" are grown but snoopy. One saw me at Walmart with a cart full of dresses and underthings.

"Oh," he says, "crossdressing?" as he stared at the cart.

"Yes, lived most of my life as a man and, now, trying it as a woman." I answered, stone faced.

All he said was "Oh..." and the subject was dropped. As though he already had too much information. Well, stick your nose into my business and it'll come back dirty!

Wishing everyone beautiful holidays!

Andrea

like that response.

At the same time his comment would make me wonder about him being a crossdressor.
