The unofficial Virginia come back thread

Post by Anne »

As most of you know, Virginia has been a long time member who has been much of the soul of the forum (her partner SilverLady(SO) could be the heart, Jeannie the funny bone, etc.).

She hasn't been on in awhile. I thought I'd start a thread where members could contribute encouragements for her to consider putting down the hammer (only I have more of a honey do list ;) ) and come back into the fold.

We all are different, we all have our own images, insights, experiences. We accept those who may be in a different place than we might be. As the T community receives so much pressure from outside, we must support ourselves.

I mean without her insight, we don't know if Karren's makeup advice will make us look beautiful or like Tammy Fay Baker...

So, since I'm first: We miss you Virginia.

Hahaha!! I've been wondering where she was and I can totally understand her getting in touch with her home construction side.. After all I have an vintage nail puller collection and most every power tool known to man.. Or woman..

That said yeah... Come back Virginia, come back!!! (Yelled in a Forest Gump kind of voice)

If anyone needs help with their TFB look just PM me!! I have plenty of false eye lashes to go around.. That I'm not using since I grew my own out! Lol.

Hi girls,

I don't think it's a big secret that Virginia is a pillar of this forum. Her wisdom and advice have helped so many people, myself included, to move forward with our lives. She has given so much of herself and spent a great deal of time and effort to help so many of us to not only accept, but to embrace this part of who we are.

But having said that, it has also been a long standing tradition of this forum not to pressure people to attend. People sometimes need a break from the forum for a whole variety of reasons and what we have always done is wish people well and remind them of just how welcome they are here when and if they choose to return.

So in line with that long standing tradition I would just like to say, Virginia I miss you. But I also respect your decision to take a break. I hope you return, but understand if you don't. It will never change how I feel about you.

Even though I have never met you in person or heard your voice, I do love you and hope you find happiness on your own "Magical Mystery Tour".

Love always,
Elizabeth

To all concerned,

I too hope that Virginia reads this thread and returns to our midst, she has been an invaluable member of this forum. Her experiences, guidance, knowledge and wisdom has helped a great deal of us in accepting our "gift".

In her defense, I too was a bit offended by some of the photos that were posted, but chose to ignore them. If that is what floats your boat so be it, who am I to judge. But if we ever want society as a whole to accept us then those kind of pictures do not help our cause. They only tend to give credance to what the public thinks of us, that we are a bunch of perverts, Drag Queens and the like.

I, like Virginia, try to portray myself as a lady not a slutty or trampy one but as a woman of integrity, grace and charm, with dignity. intelligence and class. We are all at different levels in this continuum and as such we all should show some tolerance of others who are not where we are at in our journey. That is not to say we should condone unacceptable behavior, but should try to educate those who shed a bad light on our plight in order to advance our cause to be accepted by society.

This forum has been very helpful to many of us with the experiences of its members who are further along on this journey than the rest of us and so we need to be understanding of how one feels. Different ideas and opinions should be welcomed to be discussed, but to chastise someone who expresses a different view than you does no one any good.

Let's keep in mind that we are all in the same boat in one way or another and that we need each other to go forward in our journey.

Virginia knows she's liked by most of the members here, and can return from self exile anytime. No one put a lock on the woodshed door. :P

At some point, I would hope to see Virginia reappear, but it's all in good time. We can hold up Bic lighters from time to time, if the forum fire codes allow it.

I too would like Virginia to return. Her insight and wisdom, humor among many of her qualities are missed. I believe that no one here should have said what they did to her. She did not deserve the ridicule. I would hope that Virginia could read these posts and she how much she is missed by us all.

Virginia no one is perfect, but you are missed I wish you well and want to see you back. I miss your posts! I miss you.

Hugs,

Erica

Here we are, Virginia dear
Like your sister's petticoat, laid out across the bed, and no one will be home for hours.

With the summer going on I haven't been here either but let me add that I will miss Virginia if she isn't here when I return.

Virginia and Donna were among the first to extend a "virtual" helping hand to me when I first landed here.

To say that I miss Virginia's commentary, advice and wisdom would be understatement.

My selfish side just wants her back here. My caring side feels that if she needs the time to be with herself, then all I can say is that I am looking forward to her return.

I am a private person, usually comfortable in my own company. Sometimes I just need time by myself and that can be a preciously rare event. Sometimes, we just need a break.
