My business is directly on the parade route and they block the streets off so I parked a couple of blockes away grabbed my bag and walked to the shop. The parade wouldent start for 2hr but folks were already vying for position along the curb. I went in a back room and put my makeup on changed clothes, about an hour passed - I took a few pics to see how I looked, I think I passed inspection, nobody looking a me anyway.
I went out the back door out onto the street and stood with, or should I say "close" to people I know. The Parade started we all watched, I took pics and walked along the route toward the park where the breakfast was being held, greeting people as I went. I got to the park purchased a ticket for breakfast and ate it while I watched the parade. When it was over I wandered around the park looking at the booths and venders; as I walked I noticed a customer I have known for 30 yrs. He looked directly at me, I smiled as he did and walked on. At first I thought I had been "read" but knowing him that look was only one look of many he gives to ladies all day long!
I decided it was still early and did not want Debbie's day to end yet, so off to the casino, played slots and had a good time. On the way home I hit a local upper end clothing consignment store and perused the isles, they had a nice selection of shoes. I saw a pair of green ones like I think my wife is looking for
I got back to the shop and the crowd had dwindeled down I parked in front went in and changed back to guy mode. As I started home (about a mile) my wife called and was just getting off work and she said she got the pic I sent to her - we arrived home at the same time - Children watching TV. Wife and I sat on the patio as I showed her pics and relayed the days events. A very good day
How about it everybody! Would like to hear about your good or not so good times Huggs Debbie
P.S. Hope I dident ramble on too much - Just couldent help it!
