Eyebrow threading.

Post by Cindy Louise »

Well that's a new one on me. There is a salon opening up in a strip mall a few blocks away that has a big sign in the window "Eyebrow Threading $7". I've never heard of that but a quick look on Youtube revealed it's a way of shaping eyebrows and removing unwanted hair around the eyes such as a uni-brow.

My wife is going to give it a try when they open and I might have a go myself. She hates plucking and waxing---hell who doesn't.

Love

But it's still plucking, only with sewing thread instead of tweezers.

I have mine waxed periodically with a "sugar" wax. I trust another person to do it more than I trust me, though I have been known to resort to the tweezer between sessions. Since I have astigmatism and see the world slanted ever so slightly even with correction in my glasses, it is far better for another to make them even. #-o

Yeah but she's not doing it  I guess she thinks it's not as painful if someone else is doing.

I had threading done. Maybe if the person had done a better job I'd have been more impressed. It's still somewhat painful, but it does quite a bit in a short amount of time.

Seems to me that the probability of the thread grabbing several hairs at once, and a slow pluck as compared to waxing, would make it painful at time. Like pulling a band-aid off slowly.
