I have to move from Iowa to Arizona. My health has gotten worse. Because of the humidity. I will move in March or April of next year.
Will I be able to still stay with you. My e mail address will change. I love this Forum and all the wonderful ladies in it. I don't know what I would ever do if I ever lost you all. You all have answered so many of my questions. I have gotten some wondeful advise too.

Moving does not affect your ability to come here to the forum. You may move to a new home but this site will be right here. Good luck with your move. Hope to see you again before you move.

Well, you were given partially correct information, so let me set the record straight.

Yes, you must have a 'current' email address in your Profile - that is one of the requirements of membership at the Forum. However, you cannot update it yourself - only the Site Administrator can successfully change email addresses!

When you have your new email address, simply send me a PM with it and I'll update your Profile. Whatever you do, do not attempt to change it on your own!

Hi, ladies -

I do want to thank everyone for their responding to Rebecca's query.

Leeza, you gave the right answer, but the actual changing of an email address can only be made by the Site Admin. There is absolutely no need for apologies as everybody did give correct information, it just was not 'completely correct' when interpreted that Rebecca's email address would be changing, which is what she wrote but she 'mis-spoke', as it were.

However, Rebecca started a new thread in Off-Topics, which further explains her original post, above. To avoid confusion and duplicate threads, I have deleted that thread; however, I have copied Rebecca Debra's post and DonnaT's response below:

Dear Silverlady, I am sorry if I worded it wrong. I did not mean that I was going to change my E mail address. I just meant, when and after I moved that would I still be able to get back to the forum with a new (ips) address. Do I go back to the forum address and ask you to get my new adress put back on? Mercy, I would not have any knowledge of how to do that. I can just barely get to the forum address as it is. My grand children say " sorry but you are just hopeless. So when I need to go some where on the internet they write it on a piece of paper and I can go there.They say I am ccmputer ill literaate. Jokingly of course. They love me as much as I love them.
No One has told me anything about changing my ips address MYSELF. It is just something I heard. I just did not want to lose out of the forum. I learn so much every time I log on. Everyone I have talked to has been so wonderful and so helpful. Thank you all Rebecca Debra.....

As long as your user name and email address stay the same, your IP address does not matter, which is why we can log into the forum no matter where we are, WV, TX, VA, UK, etc.

If your email address changes, then let SL know and she can change it in the forums database. If it doesn't change then there's nothing to do but simply log in.

In this case, Donna is correct; I do not need to update the IP address in your Profile, just any change in your email address.
