heat rash under breast forms

Post by SallyWise »

Okay, we just had some record breaking temperatures... I had not dressed for some time then decided to wear my breast forms with adhesive for the day, that was a few days ago. I removed them and all was fine. I did have some redness around the edges which seems to be a result of fine hairs getting pulled out, but that went away after 1 day.

So the last couple days I decided to even out my farmers tan. It was hot and I was sweating a lot. A day later, I noticed on one side of my chest, red bumps and a rash, just a little, near where the redness was a few days ago. I thought it would go away, but today, the second day, I have a red rash over the entire area where the form was... I'm pretty sure it was heat rash... but why in this silly pattern... arugh.

Just wondering if anyone else got this? What you do to avoid it and help it heal?

Heat will do that under forms... Sweat and glue and confinement. I'd just put some triple antibiotic cream (not ointment) on it and it will go away.. One way to prevent it you might try changing adhesives if that's the main culprit or when it is hot switch to a bra with form pockets so the form doesn't come in direct contact with your skin.. Or the one thing guaranteed to work... just stay out of the heat. Lol.

Also keep your form clean. After removing any remaining adhesive, wash with warm (not hot) water and mild soap to keep any skin oils or adhesive remover off them. Keep your bra's clean as well and stay away from any that are really snug rather than proper fitting.

Rash ? yuck !

Post by Kimberly Ann Dee »

I ran into this sweating problem last week too, it was 102F here in NJ. I was using one of my pocket bras, no adhesive, and the persperation was horrible. Next time I put my antiperspernt on my breasts, this helped a lot.
May everyone you love, love you

A guest on the Rachel Ray show suggested this very thing. She used a clear stick deodorant.

I use one of those salt blocks that stop perspiration. Just don't do it too often or else you'll get skin cracking, and those are much, much worse than heat rash. 8)

I tried the anti-perspirant. It works, only what I found is no sweating on the chest for at least a couple days (I wore the forms only for the first day) and my skin started to itch a little. But it held the forms...I used liquid latex as glue (applied like contact cement) and the interesting part is the latex peeled off the forms after some time wearing them and not my skin. I also used alcohol to clean my chest first before the glue.
