Appears we'll be headed to NY for a wedding on Oct. 9th.
Probably take the Amtrak from DC.
Possibly a cab from Penn station to the Millenium Hilton (reservations already made).
The wedding is somewhere along the East river waterfront. Near or at the Fish Market, I think.
Any info on the area, or about the sketchy plans, would be cool.

The fish market area is now known as South St seaport area I think. And the fish markets moved to another borough. Lower Manhattan is filled with interesting places.
Subways are an easy way to get around Manhattan but anything less than 10 blocks is an easy walk if you are in good health.

Near the fish Market, hopefully not at the fish market for your sake. NYC is a great place to visit, wife and I used to go there every saturday to walk around and people watch. If you getr a chance, take the ferry to Staten Island and back. Great views of the harbor, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Skyscape..... Have a good tiome....
Enjoy today, cause this ain't a dress rehersal!
