Rae Louise Wall's begninnings

Post by RaeLouise »

I grew up in a family of 5 boys, a mom and dad (who left when I was a young teenager).

I remember vividly the desire to dress in pretty things from about 1st grade. I never had a chance until i was maybe 10 or 11. My mom had a friend stay over who had 2 daughters. I had my chance and I tried on a jumper and blouse that belonged to one of the girls. I knew that is what I wanted.

From that point I used to find occasion to dress when I could. It was seldome until I got old enough to buy my own clothes. Like many CDERS I wore mostly lingerie, probably becuase nobody can see panties on a guy.

I got married and told my wife of my desires and, like many others CDERS figured marriage would help this to leave. Of course it did not. She was ok with the panties on occasion, but grew against it when she saw I wanted more.

Before my mom died in the mid 80's I had come out to her as a CDER. She had no problems with this and I also learned that I was not the first male in the house to like this. My dad was a crossdresser as well. The marriage dificulties mom and dad delat with had nothing to do with this but rather other issues.

20 years later she is still not overly crazy about it, but she is learning to cope and has been out with me en femm on a few occasions in Chicago for dinner and transgender (tri-Ess meetings.
All the best,
Rae Louise Wall

Hi Rae,

I thought I responded to this last night. :( I guess not.

I'm very glad you go to come out to your mom. It felt so good when I did the same.

I agree with Alexandra. That's very interesting your dad was a CD'r. I think you're among a couple of people here who have a dad who crossdressed or may have been a crossdresser.

Kudos for sharing your secret side with your wife! =D>

Thank you for sharing your beginnings story!!!

Dad's a crossdresser too

Post by Paige »

Let me be another to add that my Dad was a crossdresser too. I found out when he died. Long after I had accepted myself.

I've kinda suspected my dad was a crossdresser. He was certainly fascinated with drag--I saw lots of evidence of that growing up. In the Navy they have silly ceremonies when a crew member crosses the Equator for the first time. There are crew members in silly drag costumes, such as grass skirts, coconut bras, and wigs made out of mops. Sometimes a crew member would actually buy stuff in port and bring it on board to wear for those. He was also fascinated with the old drag wrestlers such as Gorgeous George.

My mom caught me once when I was 4. Oooh was she upset! (At the age of 4, I couldn't understand why this upset her so much). But I felt very ashamed, and had to promise I would never do that again. A promise I'm proud to say I kept until I moved out on my own. :^o

Actually, like most CDing kids, I became a master spy. I learned to measure her dresser drawers and close them exactly like I had found them, and to put things back as they had been. Sound familiar?

She kept trying to catch me, but never got the proof or admission she wanted.

So I never got the chance to talk to my dad about it. He died when I was 16.

I finally came out to my mom a year before her death. She had forgotten about catching me, and told me she never suspected. Does the memory play tricks on us?
Love and respect,
Rikki
