Did you know your toenails were red?

Post by Michelle Miller »

Nope. I'll be damned if I didn't forget to remove this sparkly red gracing them, grab the flip-flops and head out the door.

I just love that head to toe tilt stare, as passer-by look at me, then they go south, with a confused look as they hit the southernmost continent.

I tried it once, but found it too hard to drive in flip-flops.

I've done the same thing Michelle....... actually pretty cool, and a whole lot easier than taking it off.
Enjoy today, cause this ain't a dress rehersal!

Reminds me of the episode of "Dirty Jobs" where Mike's Male host sits down, takes off his boots and socks and there they were. Bright RED toenails.

I remember once, going out to get a prescription filled for my wife, when I became aware that the druggist ,whom I'd dealt with on a week to week basis, seemed to be staring at me in a particularly wide eyed way. I then realized I was wearing mascara, eyeshadow and foundation, which I'd forgotten all about. She never said a word, and neither did I.

I guess it goes to show that, if you can relax, you can get away with a lot more than you might think you can.

A few years ago, I was wearing a pink, clip-on hairbow and left for HomeDepot forgetting it was on. Thank goodness I combed my hair before getting out of the car  Another time, I had been on on a great girls nite out, makeover and all and came home late and sleep city. Next morning I woke up and found a lot of vanadalism by local kids, so called the police. Lady cop took my report and everything seemed normal till I got back inside and noticed a LOT of remainders from my makeover. Sigh, such things happen

Hi Sisters,

I think I've done all those things at one time or another ... wandered out in toenail polish, or with a hair claw, or with eye makeup on.

But the hardest thing to remember not to do is do my hair back down. You see, my hair's mid-back long, and to keep it out of the way I frequently wear it in a "top tail": ponytail on the top of my head.

Fine, except I probably forget about it more often than I remember. So the neighbors, local stores, etc. are treated to this bozo with a cascade of hair coming down from a scrunchie located at 12 o'clock high.

Not a hair style that can be easily passed off as male ... la la la

Love, Robyn Katie

I thought I was going to get away with an MRI with my socks on, but nope. Had to show off my bright red toes that day. I thought it was enough to have the cute little flower print on my socks. The girl techie liked the socks and toes, but the boy tech seems a little annoyed. Maybe he was jealous.

I haven't painted my toenails in a while, but this thread makes me want to try it again :)

I have never painted my toe nails, but did once put some lipstick on and later went to a dental appointment without removing it. I just forgot to clean it off. Nothing was said, so maybe it was not apparent anyway by then. But I have never been sure about the incident.

I wear PINK nail polish all the time. No one seems to notice. The polish is called "Cotton Candy".

I've done this several times with makeup and nail polish. Some point it out and I tell them I'm a crossdresser and I simply forgot to remove it. You wouldn't believe the looks I get from people.

Great stories! Here is a recent one...two weeks ago I went to the dentist for a cleaning & I was dressed in regular "guy" mode, except I had knee-highs on under my jeans and shoes, I almost never wear men's socks & I did not take into account how much my ankles would show while sitting in the dentist's chair. Our hygenist is a peach & I have been going to her for years, but she does not "know"...finally she say's to me quietly (Bless her, not trying to embarrass me) "Are you wearing nylons?" I said "Yes I am, I always do."...She smiled, but seemed a little uncomfortable, so I figured may as well throw the whole thing at her and I told her my toes were also polished...her eyes looked like they were going to pop out of her head, but she still asked if she could see, so I took my shoe off, figures they were bright red (OPI "I'm Not Really a Waitress")...the first thing she said was "Does your wife know?"...I said yes, of course...Second thing she ask's, Can the other girls see this? Why not, so here I am with 5 dental hygenists looking at my bare feet clad in sheer nylons and fire-engine red toenails...YIKES! Only one hygenist said it was just weird to her, the others thought it was great and loved the color! Most of the time, I get positive reactions, I don't fully dress very often, but I mostly have light foundation on and show my toes when I am out, so I get some looks, but mostly people are nice and complimentary.
