Are you in the closet?

I voted but did not reply. I am not in the closet as I go out dressed quite often. However I do not dress as I would love to at work. That whole wanting to stay employed thing.

I dress and go out from my home and go anywhere with out any problem, my wife knows some family members suspect my employee knows. I am not open to everyone and still am somewhat secertive but go out about two times a month. So am I in the closet? I guess partially but want to be out more and I guess that means to be more accepted. Debbie

I think like alot of us, I am in and out...my parents do not know, my son does not know...some friends know, some others know...But, I no longer care to hide it...I shave all my body hair, I tweeze my eyebrows, my toenails are always polished...to me this is just being clean and well-groomed, not particularly "feminine" or "masculine"...I guess most of society would beg to differ, but who cares? My father is very conservative and we never agree on anything, so why bother with him? My son is young, in middle school, he needs to focus on his math homework, not why does my dad like wearing 3" heels! Other than them, I really could not care less what anyone thinks...my wife made the mistake a few years ago of telling her one sister that we had our toenails painted the same color...she told her husband and at a family party after a few drinks he made an obnoxious joke questioning my sexuality...that was the end of us and her sister, I even gave them the opportunity to apologize, they didn't and he only made another insulting comment...to which I told them, "what does it do for you to say hurtful things to me?"...her husband laughed and said he thought it was funny ( he is a little worm) I then said, "How would you feel if I put my fist down your throat?"...he stopped laughing...(he is 5'8" 150 lbs....I am 5'8" 220 lbs.) case closed!!!

Not sure I'm CD; I could be TS. As for the closet? Ummmm weeelllll errrrrr there is no room for me in the closet.

So then, I'm not in the closet and I get out with no problems. I just don't get out enough.

I do get out sometimes but never in public. It is only my wife and a couple of other CDs that have seen me on-femme, although I guess I may have been caught on a few occassions by others.

I live ia rural small community and am very much still in the closet.

I would love to come out. The 'closet' is getting pretty small. I guess I need to know if i could pass as a woman. When I can,i I will up load some pictures, and perhaps, some of you girls could comment. I think that I look pretty good, but you really don't know.

its sounds to me that you are almost ready for the big step. Just remember, 99.9% of the problems are in our own heads. I promise you, and I know many of my sisters here will support me in saying "Ask and ye shall be given". Your dollars are just as valuable as any GGs and most shop assistants will be only to happy to take them off you in return for helping you. Try it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the reaction. I know I was.
