Best of luck, Carolynn! I'm sure when you are ready to tell us about the experience, it will be an interesting and informative read. Your posts always are.

I planned on having an orchidectomy and penectomy but had enormous resistance from family plus problems with medicos, I just gave up the idea and now just live as a relativity feminine male.
Dressing - bras, panties, female jeans, tops, lipstick, earrings, and some jewelery. basically dressed within the Harry Benjamin mode :) :)
Keeping them cupped comfortably.

Sort of in a way I already am. It's not so much to "pass" as to have the look that I want. And judging by all your answers I would say most of you are really just trying to "look better", which actually is exactly the same thing that GGs are always trying for.
In my case I'm trying to get bigger breasts (like only 99% of women are trying to do). So I haven't taken any drastic steps, just trying some various herbal experiments which don't seem to be doing anything very fast. But the point is I am seriously interested in some "permanent changes" to make myslef look more more like what I want.

I would have full body feminisation and facial feminisation. However, I am seriously considering going full time anyway.

On my list:

1. Facial hair removal.
2. Botox and collagen fills
3. Hair transplant, get rid of the "M" shaped hairline.
4. Breast Augmentation.
5. Liposculpture of waist and hips and buttocks
6. Cheekbone implants.
7. Brow shave which is not a huge need as I don't have very highly developed brows.
8. Top Lip shortening.
It costs a fortune to look this cheap!

I might consider taking hormones if they were available without hassle.
Honestly, though, taking a knife to oneself simply to look prettier just seems wrong to me. I'm a very scruffy-looking person even while wearing girls' clothing, but at least I dress consequentially. I don't try to emulate something I am not. For reference, I can pull off an ''Amelia Earheart'' look pretty easily without looking out of place, but any kind of cocktail dress would look horrendous. And I'm fine with it that way.
Theres a style for every build. Remember that.

it's only a fantasy. having sort of a slit under your breast where you can simply insert a false breast whenever you want to be en femme, then removing it again afterwards.

Francene,

That is not possible. I know because I nursed my mother through a double mastectomy and the cuts healed (eventually). I don't know of anything that could stop your body from healing the cut. Stick to breast forms.

Interesting question

Without a doubt, I would love to loose the facial hair (I HATE shaving) and would be nice to have little or no body hair. . . I would do that in the proverbial heartbeat if I could afford it.

Smaller nose, smaller adams apple. . . likewise

Small to moderate size boob job (to 38B) IF I didn't have to worry about it getting encapsulated in 5 to 10 years. . . likely

Money is always the most pressing issue. . .

At this point the family including kids know about it, and my feelings are that I accecpt who and what I am and have for years. The wife accepts as well. .

Would I consider modifying my body? Yes. Where? Here, here, and, especially, here.

I had full-body laser hair removal several years ago, and never once regretted having it done. I'm finally getting electrolysis on my lips and chin. I'd be happy to keep going, but for me, it's just one thing at a time, just to make myself happy.

Baby steps are often necessary. I know that as I took steps toward a degree of feminization, my stress decreased, even though I was the only person who knew about it. Reconfiguring your body to better match who you feel you are is a good thing, if that is what you need to do. But it is hard to put the genie back into the bottle, and there are tipping points. I hope when you find yours, you are ready for it.

Good luck.

Since i came out with my wife a couple years ago, I would love to be a woman, and i would love to look beautiful with a soft smooth face , no body hair and look sexy in a dress. The reality is I look like Goldberg the wrestler, and have been mistaken for him so I know I am a long way from looking sexy as a woman. I love thinking about being a transexsual, and would do all the surgeries, but reality takes hold, I am a manly man, my legs look good in a short skirt and I am ripped as much as possible so my dresses and clothes fit, but I could never be a womanly looking crossdresser. I am so happy when I get all dressed up, makeup, hair, nails and I am in heaven while I look good. I am completely satisfied and happy with my llife and adore my wife who supports me. The key is to be happy and hang around with friends and family who support you.

I was thinking about how for some people, like Carolynn, she didn't modify her body to pass. She corrected her body to fit who she is. We could probably have a long discussion about is this "passing" or something else.

I completely gave up on any hope of "passing" a long, long time ago. I don't need to pass to be me. I just hope to be happy being me, someday. All the little things I do, I'm doing for me, to be me.

Selfish? I don't think it's any more selfish than what most people do in the course of their lives.

well I guess if we consider the things that many women do: liposuction, face lift, breast enhancement, etc. just to appear sexy, then none of these things mentioned seem so crazy. I've adopted the philosophy that I may not be able to change very much about how I look, but I will look as good as I can for what I am. But I don't agree that "a guy in a dress" looks bad. Sometimes it does, but not if it's the right dress and it's done right. So a small degree of body modification and the right selection in clothing and accessories, and it can be a good look.
OK, nobody will ever mistake any of us for Jennifer Lopez, but then again there isn't a woman in the world that doesn't wish she looked like that, so it isn't just us.
