Open-toed shoes with trouser socks of the same color.
I read this in Glamour or something recently that it is "in" to wear open-toed shoes or sandals with trouser socks or hose provided it is the same color as the shoes.
Had to run to the mall this morning, wore boot cut blue jeans (women's of course!), brown slide sandals and sheer brown patterned trouser socks. My toenails are polished in OPI "Brisbane Bronze" and the sheer brown socks and slides complimented the color nicely!
Tell me what you ladies think? Is this a look you would wear?
Cute look I am going with lately

Paula, thanks! It looked cute...a couple weeks ago I saw one of our local weather people shopping at the Galleria mall and she had on boot-cut jeans, brown peep-toe wedges & sheer brown trouser socks.
I had never really seen this look either, but I did a double-take and I thought it looked really cute, so I decided then I had to try this now that it is colder out.

You are right, the key to making it work is that the trouser socks, or tights, need to match the shoes. I wear tights with open toed shoes all the time and it looks good. The right trouser socks, if they are a cute style and match the shoes can look really good too.
While I have been in Bulgaria the last year or so I've noticed that the women really have something for hosiery. They don't wear just plain old pantyhose or tights, they have some really wild styles that you might think are crazy at first, but with the right outfit looks great. Needless to say, I now have more than I can count. And also knee-highs, trouser socks, etc. Now I don't like having any bare leg showing, so if you're wearing it with a skirt I'd say you should go with tights to thigh-highs, unless it's a pretty long skirt.
