Seems British men have put on 16lbs in weight on average in the last 15 years.

This does not apply to me I am glad to say. I am still the same weight I was 35 years ago.

I suspect something similar for US men is happening.

Well, I took off 77 and put 20 back on. Quite a struggle.

"The average British man was more than a stone heavier in 2000 than he was in 1986, an Oxford University study found."

As far as I can remember I was actually a little heavier in 2000 than I am now, but then I'm not realy an average man.

I'm really thinking about selling exercise bikes that incorporate a small generator, so you can lose weight and lower your electric bill all at the same time.

I had one for awhile. I used the alternator off my 1972 Chevy Vega to charge a deep-cycle storage battery. The belt drive was very inefficient, and I gave it up.
