hello ladies.
further to my introduction in new beginnings on the 28/10./2010.i would like to seek the advice of the members on the forum.ever since i first dressed which is 50years ago i always needed a relief when wearing beautiful lingerie i dont go out in public dressed as a mature 62 yearold woman but as i am retired now i can dress for long periods in the privacy of my home.i do wear blouses and skirts around the house and venture as far as the cloths line,lucky my hedges are high and the neigbours even older than me.but as the day goes on i always come back to changing into gowns and robes and being encased in layers of beautiful material the desire is always there.this has been the case from the eearly days of going into the aunts room.now can i ask the membours am i in a different area of crossdressing?or does severybody experience this.?as i dont see much chat about it on the forum.good health to all for 2011.

What you have is what is popularly called a fetish, you are motivated to dress by a desire to relieve yourself in this way. I'm also betting that you undress as quickly as possible afterwards and feel really guilty and perhaps even vow not to do it again?

This is all perfectly natural, healthy and normal and I urge you not to worry about it. The main reason why it isn't really discussed is because it's a bit of a taboo subject among TGirls in that few like to admit that they have ever been fetishists. The reality is is that most of us started off as a fetish (it was high heels for me) and it just all grew from there.

At the end of the day though, even natal females like to wear things that turn them on.

I think I will venture to say that we are all pretty much like you. I also very much like to wear beautiful dresses, skirts, and tops, with nylons and heels, earrings, etc.
I do go out quite often wearing a dress or skirt. It is what I am most comfortable with, and enjoying looking nice in it. Of course everyone is somewhat different about how far they go with it, and who they will let know about it. As you read through the posts here, you will find a wide range of feelings on this subject and many people you will be able to relate to.
I hope you will find us to be an encouragement to you, and a source of support and companionship.

There are numerous variations of crossdressing. some have preferences for certain materials, some for certain items of clothing.

Some simply enjoy the feel of the material, while others take it up a notch into the erotic.

So, even if not everybody experiences what you are, don't think there is anything wrong with what you do enjoy.

As long as no one is getting hurt, no one else should care.

My formative years were very similar to yours. Likewise i still CD but not yet in public. I will go out in my garden dressed, drive my car, and even walk in remote places.

As the crow flies I am not that far from you Margaret, I am on the West coast of Anglesey.

You are simply another person with your level of desire and interests. I don't know how much interaction you have had with others over your years, and so maybe you just got "stuck in a rut" and happy as things are. That's cool; perfectly okay.

Early on, for me, there was some fetish.

Not so these days and not so for some long time. I think that as one becomes more comfortable with dressing, there are no urgent needs. It may be that as an occassional thing there is more eroticisim in being dressing. A newness, as it were.

Mary Margaret, you and I are very close to the same age. I can say that for me to be dressed is a pleasure in its own right. For me it is so pleasant to just be comfortable and the longer I stay dressed, the better. If I could be this way all of the time, that would be perfect.

The most important thing for you is to know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you.

While I am alittle younger than you I may be a little further along this journey. For me for many years the errotic nature of dressing was almost too much to handle. Like Andrea Elise I find that now while there is some eroticism from dressing, it is much more a question of comfort with myself and peace.

That is not to say that sometimes I still want to wear everything I have and will try out my whole wardrobe in succesion, ending up with lingery, and, ah erm ... reliefe

Rest easy, be comfortable with yourself, there is nothing wrong, believe that and then you can enjoy your journey so much more

Yes, I agree that your experience is very common. The whole fetish thing, describes me and alot of my struggles. As I have gotten older there has been a shift, but there are times when it all defaults back to the earlier ways. I have wondered how much my sex drive has to do with dressing versus the simple enjoyment of the clothing. It will probably vary from one person to the next.
