a nieghbor
I have been having a problem with a nieghbor of mine, his name is Edwin.I can't stand it anymore.Everytime I walk out to my car when I am dressed and he yells out this: FREAK!I have called the cops on him twice for this and he has put in nasty letters in my mailbox saying I am a disgrace to society.I am getting support from my wife and fellow crossdresser friends in my life. His wife Elizabeth is great around me,my wife and I go over to visit when he is not there. She knows this is happening, getting support from her and getting sick and tired of it.He ruined a good wig of mine which was a $200.00 wig,cut it and he did ended up paying for a new wig.It was when my wife came over to visit last year.I did press charges on him for the nasty letters last week and go to court on this starting on Wendsday.

WOW, that's just crazy
I've seen a few people react a little unfriendly at first, but usually they get used to it after a little bit and get over it. This guy is just whacked.
I doubt calling the cops will do any good though, there's very little they will do about it, and he won't change no matter what they do. How long has this been going on? It seems like at some point he would lose interest in harassing you and go back to staring mindlessly at the televison.

If that were to happen here, it would be categorized as a hate crime and he could look forward to a long stay in prison during which time he hopefully would reconsider his attitudes. Please do no let this drop. We have to assert our right to be in the world. Just remember you are not alone. Good luck.

It seems that a lot can depend on where you are, as Susan says if this were to happen here, your neighbour coudl look forward to a satya at Her Majesty's Pleasure, and when he gets out there could well be a court order to refrain.
This must all be horible for you, but these people need to be made to stop, his behaviour is just not acceptable. For what it is worth you have our support

So sorry to hear about your upsetting experience with this jerk of a neighbour
Bullying and harassment are totally unacceptable and he needs to understand there could be consequences for his bad behaviour.
We don't know your location Cassandra so we can't tell you how the laws pertain to your specific circumstance but in some countries and jurisdictions Edwin's bigotry would be considered criminal and he would be charged as such.
Good luck this coming Wednesday dear and let us know how it turns out.

If it were just name calling, I would suggest ignoring the comments. They aren't worth getting upset over. But, since he is harassing you with notes and physically damaging your property, I believe you're on the right track taking legal action against him.
I just don't understand how people can be so hateful. Maybe a hefty fine or time in a correctional facility will open his eyes. It's sad you have to put up with all this, Cass. I hope everything works out well.
Hugs,
Kyra

IMHO he's trying to provoke you. So whatever he's saying, that's not what's at the bottom of it. There's something inside him he's desperate to get rid of and if he can get you engaged with him in an uncontrolled manner, then (he hopes) he can do just that.
Perhaps if you just leave him, he'll go mad of his own accord. But there seems like a kind of insanity to him.
