Just had a passenger that shared some shoe advice with!

Post by KenetaO »

I just picked up a passenger who told me she was going to a cocktail party tonight and was affriad she would have to walk several blocks in her semi-formal attire and heels. I told her to carry a slightly larger purse and put the heels in there and wear some flats to her friends party and change just before going in. She was by the way a wide eyed blond GG with a squeeky voice. She did inquire how I knew to do that, I told her I had done it a couple times!

She laughed and thanked me for the advice as she got out!

I have a few of the pad things for my heels. They help, but only if the shoe has the room for them. If the shoe is too tight, then the pads may be softer than pressing on the shoe itself, but you added that much more pressure.

For me, I wear my shoes at home several times to know how long I can wear them and how they are for any kind of walking. If I have heels when I go out, then I also have my flats in the car. I am one of those girls that will change into my killer shoes just before going into the event and then just as quickly I'll return to my flats.

I'll be participating in a charity event "Walk A Mile In her Shoes" where men walk for a mile in heels to raise awareness about rape and gender violence. I've done this before and, let me tell you, gel pads and bandaids are essential. Of course, I always wear the highest heels I have because I'm a showoff.
