Lost Avatars - Answered

Post by Julie Dawn »

What’s happened to some of the avatars, I’ve had to up-load mine again.
I think some others may be missing.

Hi, Julie Dawn -

Most members do not have an avatar, and that is by their choice. Those that do have an avatar - and don't 'lose' them - are because they followed the rules.

Avatars can be 'lost' for several reasons - such as not being an active member - but more often than not it's because the avatar does not conform to the rules, such as yours. Your avatar contained a partial face, and therefore I deleted it several months ago and sent you a PM explaining my actions, shortly after you joined the forum; you have uploaded that same avatar today . . . and it will be deleted again, too. AVATARS:
Avatars should contain a face, even if the face is blurred. Partial body shot avatars, and those that do not include the full face, will not be permitted and will be removed immediately. Basically, avatars follow the same guidelines as does the Photo Gallery (no nudity, etc.).

As a reminder, it is always the members' responsibility to read and follow the rules, and they are found in the Announcements and Ask Us sections.

Thank you SL for the clarification. I confess I haven’t read all the announcements. When it comes to instructions, like many people I only read what I need today. I have checked through emails and PM’s and your message seems to have gone adrift. However, thank you again for the clarification.
