I'm so sorry. I have no excuse. It's just, well, bouncing back and forth between temporary jobs (no more than 6 weeks) and nothing to do but to throw stuff away, and work on 35 years of clutter around the house, plus being the housewife which means the laundry, ironing, dishes, vacuuming, filing, recycling, shopping, bathrooms, etc. plus spending WAY too much time on facebook under my real name...Stupid, I know.

Oddly, I've met and friended a trans-sexual on Facebook. Someday I'll invite her here.

Hugs, Bernice

The reason for myself not posting much has more to do with conditioning than anything. Being one who likes to blend into the woodwork anyway, I still find it difficult to talk about being a CD. Blending is one of the tools I used to keep my secret safe.

All my life being a CD was a secret that I guarded above all else. It seems when I have opened up to those I care about they tend to politely drift away. Granted even though I know that here, I'm truely with my peers... those feelings and insecurities over acceptance are hard to overcome.

Renee :)

Hello all,

Well, You have asked a fair question and it deserves an answer. . .

(The silence was deafening!)

But seriously, between all the demands of work, family, myrid other internet distractions. . I have noticed something about my browsing here. I tend to read only a couple of headers when I do visit. and some of the messages tend to be a bit static. . . not offered as a criticism, but just what I have noticed.

I will usually read the new user posts and a bit about how they started crossdressing and mentally compare that with my own life. . their ages when they started, their trials and tribulations. . . did mom, dad or someone else have a "dressed encounter". .

Then I will hop over to discussion topics and see what issues are affecting our community, is there anything really unique I can offer and so on. . .

All in all, to give the thoughtful replies that a site of this sort require, does take an investment of time, effort, thought and a bit of love. . Generally things I am short on at the end of a 12 hour shift in the ICU.

I guess, I just wish there were more hours in a day!

Kindest,
Wesley

Renee, that reluctance to talk about CDing is very common, I think it's safe to say that we all went through it. Actually, in a lot of ways we are still going through it. And that is why we are here posting and talking to each other, instead of down at the pub chatting about the new skirt we bought with all the blokes.
I didn't feel very comfortable at first posting here, but in one sense "I" am not. It is Ralitsa who you all know, and outside of this forum Ralitsa doesn't exist, (well plenty of other Ralitsas exist though). And that is the great thing about this forum, we can say what we really think and feel without the fear that our friends here will think we are wierd, they already know we are wierd and like us anyway. Well if you suggest that it's OK to wear a brown belt with black shoes we might disown you, so don't do that
I'm glad you pointed out this reason though, because probably many of the members here feel the same thing. Do you have any ideas for making it easier for them to participate?

Been on another forum working on scoring cheap HP touchpad(s). Cheap technology beats dressing in august heat.

I thought I'd posted to this thread already. Anyway . . . I spend several hours a week on this site. Not that impressive, I suppose, but short of Google, it's far more than I spend on any other site. Most of that time I spend in chat, but I do a bit of perusing the forum (mostly Off Topics, in which I actually do a small amount of moderating, plus a little bit of time in the games section).

When I started with Crossdressers-Forum, I was much more of a participant in forums and chatrooms. And I didn't get to be Princess of Chat (or moderator, for that matter) by not being here or not participating. But life sometimes requires me to spend a little less time at the computer these days. I do very little chatting or posting in other venues - this is the main one for me. But there are lots of subforums here, a lot of threads - and sometimes it can be kind of involved just finding a discussion that might be currently interesting.

I gather some upgrades are in the works that would allow a resumption of new registrations. Then, once again, the attrition should be balanced by renewal . . . . 8)

Hi, Ladies -

I've been holding off on major 'attrition' solely due to the lack of new members being admitted; there's about another 100 or so that need to be deleted for lack of participation. Before anyone asks, the attrition guidelines will never be revealed (only Sharon and I know them) as we want all participation to be voluntary.

As for me and the Chat Room, I prefer to let you ladies chat freely and without a GG/Site Admin present . . . although I have been known to pop in and sit on someones lap if all the chairs are taken :P (and if I have the spare time)!!
