Or maybe not.
But I do think I'm starting to figure a few things out. First I have to say that going to a make-up advisor was crucial. I would be totally confused about everything if she hadn't explained a few basic concepts. And this has convinced me that very many GG's don't have a clue what they are doing, but that's another story.
The key point about all of this is that I'm not trying to look like any particular thing, I just want to look a little better. It's kind of astonishing, after I on my make-up and I look in the mirror, I think: Hey, you're kind of cute! I love it!
Well there are still some points that need improvement, but generally I'm pretty happy with the results. For example, I've decided that the concealer that I got for my eyes is terrible, and makes me look more wrinkled and not less. I'm not completely happy with my eyes at all, I will have to keep working on that. My eyebrows....... it's an ongoing project.
The funny thing, I do all my make-up in about 20-30 minutes, and I read that others spend as much as 1 hour or more. So I wonder if I'm really messing up? Nobody has told me that I look like Frankenstien, but are they only being polite? It's true that I'm trying to keep it simple, because I can't handle complicated, but I really wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I'm thinking that I will try doing it myself and then take the results to my make-up advisor and ask for her judgement. I don't know what else to do.
