Hey, Paula and Zari. Will keep at it and start toning some. We are lucky our boys are vegans and feed themselves - I just make sure the right food is there. I fix the meals for my wife and myself and am retired so that makes it easy on us. I remember going to work, running around - getting stressed - then stress eating after work and dinner made it more difficult. Am looking for sail boats now have to have a couple mooring pilings planted, perhaps have a new head sail made?? We will see - have to stay well rounded.

Reached my Goal!
I had set a goal of losing 27 pounds on the 7th of August this summer I weighed 203.5 pounds, I felt sluggish, achy and stiff, my size 38's were tight. I did not know if at age 54 with a slower metabolism would it still be possible to lose weight, to have the fat fall off with ease without exercise? I know how to do it. Weigh daily (I also plugged this into the graph on Michael Marders Weight Commander program which charts your current weight and your 7 day moving average and is a very encouraging program that kept me going!) , Drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water per day one with each meal, count my calories. In the early 1990's I had determined that at 1757 calories my weight tended to stay the same, consume more I tended to gain weight, Less I tended to lose. Because of age, and a sedentary lifestyle I cut that down to about 1200 calories. I have always taken a multiple vitamin and mineral pack daily. I am 5'9.5 inches with a medium male frame. No restrictions for carbs, or certain food groups just a balanced portion (calorie) controlled meal plan. So I pulled out my little note book, weighed, entered the date each day and kept a running total of calorie intake alone, and also marked off my water. If I was good, I could count on losing most every day anywhere from 1/2 to 3 pounds. I use measuring cups and spoons, and read food labels and serving sizes. I eat the same breakfast and lunch, and vary dinner a little. Breakfast (about 7am) was Coffee with soy milk, creamer, a little cocoa, splenda; 1/2 cup oatmeal with water and nothing else, and two glasses of water (288 calories). Lunch (about 11:30am) is a tuna kit, cup of pringles chips, a fiber one 50cal vanilla yogert, and Water (410 calories). (I know Mercury! well I have eaten tuna for lunch daily for years! No jerking yet!); Dinner ( about 6pm)- I used the poor man's Nutra System - Banquet Meals 75cents each!!!! I am partial to the barbecue, or Kahiki's Gen Tsos chicken or sweet and sour chicken and water (usually 330 calories or close to that). Desert ( about 7:30pm) is a sugarfree Klondike Krunch bar (ice cream) (170 calories). Bedtime about 9pm. Sure I took some breaks along the way for a day or so, but I kept at it. Once I was in the 180's I decided I also wanted to be fit, and started with Grecian Formula and Neutrogena facial moisurizer. I already wear contacts. So I started jogging a measured course (used my car odometer) of 1.5 miles per day. I don't have to exercise but any added muscle and the activity helps to burn more calories. I wanted to extend my youth. I wanted to feel that energy I had when I was younger, to look and to feel younger. There is no fountain of youth, I cannot turn back the number of divisions remaining for my cells but perhaps I can slow them down a little. I wanted to match as closly as possible a woman's physique, I wanted to look good in a dress, no big belly sticking out, lose the big arms. I have also let my hair grow and by helping my wife, I am a care giver, with her hair I learned how to achieve a women's basic hair style. I am pleased, my natural brown hair is over my ears and I am able to achieve the feathery bangs which curl over and to the sides of my head with a part down the center of my head - how to use the vent comb and blow drier, the roller brush and the pick comb. By reading Charles Anders Lazy Crossdresser book I gained confidence and picked up pointers on make- up to achieve a natural look that merely enhances my features. I am happy and feel better. My pulse is in the 50's, my blood pressure is lower than 120/80. I have now set my secondary goal of 173pounds in two weeks, and after that will reach my final 168 which should be the ultimate. I am also shopping for a new sailboat at least 25 feet. I have achieved my life time goals: Having an independent income without having to work, have a house in a warm climate on the water with a Dock and water deep enough for a large sailboat. There is a sailboat out there I have an agreement on the price, If I decide to do it. I have the funding to purchase the boat - one phone call. It is a boat I had when I was younger, but I would really like one that is slightly larger, say 28 feet and newer perhaps 1980's or later - After all I am Anne Bonny the Piratess! Argh Maties hoist the sails and run out the guns!

Update
I am thrilled sitting here in my new nightgown at 173.5 just 5.5 pounds from my ultimate weight goal from 203.5 that is 30 pounds, lifetime high was 205 which is a 31.5 pound reduction in my weight. All of my clothing fits. The nightgown is nothing extraordinary can be found on the Hanes site, it's a pink nightshirt with coffee stripes found under woman's sleep wear and it fits perfectly! I had also ordered two soft cup size 36A bras which are fine and will stretch out a little over time. I really believe I am a 38AA just do not have the breast flab, but a stretchy size 36 does bring out what is there giving a feminine shape to my chest if not completely filling the size A cups but at least the cups are not so loose that they can fold over on themselves. I also plan of purchasing several casual dresses more for the spring, and some stylish flats as I really have none. That would be nirvana for now. I wanted to look good in a dress, this weight loss down to my ideal weight with no upper body bulk will max out my ability to change my shape towards a woman's. I am also enjoying being able to fix and style my own hair into a short feminine style with whispy bangs, parted down the middle with hair swept back on each side, longer hair will only improve my ability to wear my hair in a woman't style and that is a thrill too. I am also pleased with my ability to highlight my features with make-up and look natural not overdone which is afterall the usual goal for everyday.
Seems Holiday plans have fallen through - work and other things but we will have a peaceful, relaxing family celebration together just my wife and my boys. I had removed all nail polish while opting to maintain my smooth hairless legs, I am currently allowing the clear undercoat dry on my toes, I had had very durable and shiny dark pink toenails for the past couple of months - they will be back in an hour or two. For now I will lounge in my nightgown so I don't mess up the nails before they dry.
If I am good - my weight should drop below my intermediate goal of 173 tomorrow on the way to 168.

Being the correct weight.
Thanks Donna! When I am in the mode, and have not been for a while - but today some sunlight came out for my fem side and I am now dressed, blue jeans, knit sweater top etc... Crossdressing is a capricious thing! When feeling feminine I have much more determination to lose weight - like swallowing a power pill in female pac man! Because a girl wants to maintain her figure and to look good in a dress. How do you do it? What's your method for losing weight - I believe everyone has a unique approach that works for them.
Maybe it's just opening up on this site that helps?

Re: Are there any thin girls out there? How do you eat?
I have gained it all back and then some I am now 55 and 207# with no motivation but I am trying to regain motivation, suppose I will re read this thread. I believe I got down to about 170 and every piece of clothing I owned fit, now I am in size 38's (men's) and struggle to button the button, I refuse to purchase larger pants. I am trying to restart my food counting, water drinking, walking and weight tracking but it takes will power most of all I know that I have to want it very much - the motivation is still to fit into smaller dress sizes because women are so much thinner than we are, I have no desire to bulk up my biceps my shoulders are already broad, and I look like I am pregnant again, at times I am eating so much that I cannot breath, and sitting here careing for my wife. So here we go again, hope I can hit 170 in about 4 months - I have done it before. Hum... popped this back to the top of the list because I posted on it. OK 13 minutes into Sunday think I will drink some water and go to bed Let's see If I can do it again, need to go back to controlled portions in those frozen meals and then wait to eat desert until 8pm. Dinner is always my downfall!

OK, here I go. This morning 208 - trend reversal on the modle meaning I am gaining weight and must be below 206.5 or the trend line will keep moving up - dratz and on Sunday which has been historically my toughest day. low 50's with a very fresh breeze across the bay this morning! at least a steady 20kts - hum...need an anomomoter here will check google already have a barometer on board which dropped yesterday predecting today's weather. But I will walk or use the recline cycle at a minimum. Breakfast is easy for me 2 16oz glasses of water, 150 cals from oatmeal (no salt) only water added - old fashoned, and 2 cups of coffee with 30 calories from the skim with some splenda - 180 calories has been that way since I started to worry about my weight and is the usual daily breakfast for me anyway. Accepting some hunger is to be expected and is a good sign for tomorrow.

It is so hard to get into that "mode" I have done this several times in my life and have been very successful, I know what to do - what works for me - I can even see the weight fall away without exercising at all but I have to get into it. Thanks for the encouragement. I have started weighing every day, working up to my 2.5mile jog but it is evening that kills me off!!!!!!
