wind - an atmospheric disturbance involving the kinetics of air molecules. But you could say it is a weather feature! In the UK also used for flatulence.

Wind was a Repeat -- on the 6th by Paula.

So, from Wino We get OINK -- Stylized sound of a pig vocalizing.

Note to Everyone:

It doesn't matter if the word "wind" was recently used; Joan's choice ('wind') was right and proper, it should not have been summarily dismissed, and should have been used as the basis for the next word choice by Carolynn. [-X

As I have previously reminded everyone not too long ago, it is inevitable that the same word(s) will end up being used multiple times during this game - in fact, it must - because in this game we are limited to using (proper) 4-letter words. If we were to further limit ourselves to using words on a one-time basis, then this game would have ended a LONG time ago!! [-(

Hook -- a curved end on a straight shank. There can be fish hooks, but there can also be preliminary statements to attract interest in a book or a movie that are called hooks, and then there are the hooks that come out from the curtain and drag a failing performer off stage.........

Everyone: See my note in Carolynn's post (11-10-11 at 1:42 am) above. I believe that Carolynn owes an apology to Joan. [-X
