New EEOC Ruling

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

New EEOC Ruling

Post by JoAnnDallas »

I just found out that the EEOC has made a change that affects all of us. A transgender person is now covered under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Acts Report. here is the web link.

I reckon there no need to worry about ENDA being trans inclusive now.

The EEOC handles cases involving work place. It does nothing for housing, medical, public places, and etc. These still need to be addressed on a National Bases.

I never heard of the EEOC, and I have to say that I despise most government agencies. I like to believe that I am a valid and worthy person without any regard to what Title anything has to say about me. It does have some academic interest to see what direction the political correctness wind is blowing, but I was never holding my breath to be accepted by D.C.
My whole point is this, if we accept their judgement now that we are ok, then we must accept it some years from now when things change and we are not ok anymore. Only I get to decide if I am OK.

Thanks for posting this, JoAnn. It is great to see an end-run around one of the areas that would be covered by ENDA.
