Hi all,
There are times when we need to pull back a little in order to gain a better focus, not only on what we're doing, but also on what we'd like to be doing... not only on who we are, but on who we'd like to become. For me, this is one of those times.
I think I need to take a little break. As wonderful as you all are, too much of my time has been spent here lately and not enough in "real life" (as if this weren't real life!). I've come to call many of you my friends, and many of you have been incredibly helpful in my own struggles to define who I am. I'm deeply grateful to all of you. It's just that there are matters in my personal life right now that I need to attend to with more urgency than I have up until now.
Again, thanks to all. I will miss you for the time I'll be away (hopefully not more than a couple of weeks). Yes, I will be back. Soon. I promise.

Tears are welling up inside my eyes as I write this. Because I will miss you. More than I expected! Even knowing you online, you have become a really special friend to me. Even though we have never met in person. Your sincerity and warmth mean a lot to me; and I know I speak for most everyone on the board.
Please take care. Remember that we love and miss you.
If you find you're spending too much time online (easy to do), you might look at boning up on your time management. I have to, constantly.

Take the time you need to sort things out & we hope you come back soon! I can honestly tell you that I can relate. You feel like there is so much on your plate at once that certain things in life have to be moved aside until the bigger issues are handled. For me this month, it was my friends who were calling constantly & e-mailing me to death, despite me telling them that I have been too busy to respond in a timely fashion.
Hope everything works out for you hon, and hope to see you soon! We'll all be here, awaiting your return...

Thanks for the wonderful wishes! I stayed away for a few days (okay, with a little peek earlier this week) and, in those few days, I got more done than I thought I possibly could. I missed you all, too. I'm glad to be back.
Rikki spoke of time management (something I imagine Lorna could speak of, also) and I'm thinking of trying to find a way to limit my visits here (for example, to post only on days ending with the letter "y"
). Seriously, I'll have to exercise a certain self-restraint in order for me to be able to fulfill meatspace obligations. I'll give it a shot, for sure.
