Telling my sister

Post by LeeAnn »

During the Fourth of July celebration at my parents house I had planed on telling my younger sister about my Cross Dressing. I did not have an opportunity to talk to her alone. There was two birthdays being celebrated and just way too much stuff going on. My sister left before I could talk to her alone.

I emailed her two days ago and told her about it. She was very supportive :) (as I had hoped she would be). She had stated that she was a little surprised about it all but was glad I had found happiness with it. She said that the world is so messed up that finding happiness is important. I told her how it started, about the shopping in New Orleans, the shopping here at Walmart were I found a nice nightgown. She told me she was jealous of the fact that she cannot find a nightgown at Walmart she likes. She is like that, puts humor to set you at ease. She is such a great sister and I love her to death, even more today for her support of Lee Ann.

I also told her about this wonderful site. All the ladies that have helped me so much. I appreciate the support from my sister and you ladies. You all rock! =D>

It is nice to have a family member who understands. I am so happy to have such a wonderful and caring sister. *-* *-* *-*

She is a great sister. I hope she checks out this site and maybe even joins. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful sister. This week has been one of the best ones in my life. I feel I can tell my sister anything. I even told her when I was pulled over for that DUI (I am still working on getting that taken care of) that when stripped searched the deputy saw that I was wearing panties. I told my sister that he seemed OK with it and was very polite. As a person would do in such a situation, the deputy asked why I was wearing them. I told him the truth, they make me feel good. My sister told me that she was happy that he was nice or she would have had to come down and take care of some business (and I think she would have, plus she has friends in high places).

I have been saying this the last few weeks and it remains true, family is important. Mine has been very helpful the last few months with the DUI thing and all. But Lee Ann is still unknown to all of them besides my sister. I hope one day they all will know and be supportive about Lee Ann but that I am sure is in the distant future. I hope my younger sister can help pave the way for that. Lee Ann is who I am, she is always inside of me even when I am dressed in drab. She is a lovely lady who has given me confidence and joy. *-*

That's great to hear about your sister, LeeAnn. A DUI can be really troublesome; I hope you can put that behind you soon.

Yes it has been a pain in the rump. My lawyers are working on getting it taken care of. I will tell you this, I have made a promise to myself not to get another one. I am on the wagon for a very long time. I feel so much better about it and it frees up money for this girl to shop lol.

I am so glad for my sister. She was the one I knew I could count on being supportive. She has always been there for me through good and bad. I am going to make it an effort to go up and see her after the baby is born. I cannot show all the happiness I have that she is my sister. It is great to have the support and the love. Now as for the rest of the family lol....

Good for you LeeAnn \:D/ Having a supportive family is worth it's weight in gold and opens so many opportunities to expand it's unreal :). I haven't told my sister yet, but she's kinda suspecting I think (it's possible my kids have told her tho, I know they told her about me only wearing girl socks hahaha), I'm sure the day is rapidly approaching. Got any good lines you wanna share? Buahahaha

I mean, how exactly does one just come out with this? My inner family know cos they see me in it all the time, and it was self explanatory really. The convos were just confirmation as it were. But my sister hasn't had that gradual build up, time to see it intricately? So for her it's gonna be ...WHAM! He is a she, blah blah blah. So far my tried and tested lines of "I'm a bit girly" or "I'm a girl in my head" are favorites.

Unless anyone has more? Heehee

When I emailed her the first time I just told her that I had something to tell her that was private and is something I do out of the mainstream (even though I do not consider cross dressing as out of the mainstream). I told her she had to keep it in strict confidence. She promised. Then I emailed her back and just came out with it. I sort of knew before hand the reaction I would get, surprise but acceptance. I also gtolder her about this site and the wonderful help I received from you ladies.

It is nice to have a family member know Lee Ann exists. i cannot begin to tell you how glad I am that I took that first step. The rest of the family I cam going to keep in the dark as long as I can as I do not think they would be very good at accepting Lee Ann. But I know I cannot hide her forever.

Another person that will know in the near future is my doctor. I have to see her from time to time and she always looks at my feet. I love to have my toes painted. I am not going to remove the polish just to see the doctor. I know she so going to question the fact that I have my nails painted. I am going to tell her about Lee Ann. I am sure she will also accept her (in a way she sort of has to). Then I am going to ask if she would mind if Lee Ann came to the next doctor visit.

Well have a great day all, this girl needs to turn into a boy and go to work (yuk).

I am so pleased that all went well with you sister when you told her LeeAnn.

The only relative that i have left now is a cousin out in British Columbia, and was so pleased when i told her that she was so accepting,
We are now closer than we have ever been.

The thing that really blew my mind was one day when she was down here we were out doing some research on the family tree, and on the way back she said, you kno " if Mom was alive now " ( my Aunt ) she would be accepting too.

Good luck and all the best in your journey

Hi LeeAnn,
I'm glad it went so well with your sister. It seems to me that women are more accepting of this (if it's not ones SO anyway) than are male family members. I have the feeling that it's because they sort of feel like you are coming over to their side, as if life is a gender battle and they are glad for your help.
But anyway, it is great that you have somebody to share this with.
Also, I seriously doubt that your doctor will ask about your painted nails, or care the slightest bit what you wear when you come in. The last time I visited the doc I was wearing a skirt and women's top (no bra though because of the injury) and he didn't bat an eye. He just looked over the wound, declared me cured, and sent me on my way. Doctors just really don't care about that, they are only concerned about your health, they don't have time to waste on the trivial. I know it's not trivial to you, but for them it is.

You might try telling her through an email, Kittie. But don't warn her that you are usually cross dressed at home, as this might keep her from visiting, if she's not particularly keen on the idea.
