I am unsure when I started cding. But I never purged as I understand it. I got rid of items that no longer fit or I did not like. However purge I do not think I have ever done that.

I have never purged either. I read so much on TG/CD websites about the cycle of purging, and I decided it was best to keep things. I would sometimes put things away in a box or suitcase but I would not throw them out.

clothing, toys, magazines, and tapes...all purged many times over.

When I recently embraced my whole self, I ordered some underwear online. It was hard to keep it over a few days. It was harder to keep it a whole month, but I did.
I eventually got rid of that set (this all happened in the last few months) when I realized it was a bit too lacy/racy for my real tastes.

I now have new undergarments that I bought at COSTCO (and didn't feel bad at all), and in local retail stores like Mervyn's. I did get a bit nervous and I did lie when dealing with a salesclerk in the Women's dept., but I have held on to these things with no regrets.
This past Christmas Day weekend, I was visiting my In-Laws in their town and I had a couple of opportunities to shop for myself.
I'm not "out" beyond my wife and daughter (and my side of the family), so I had to keep things under wraps, but I now have a new swimsuit, bra and panties, girdle and pants/top set for sleeping/lounging in.

I believe my Purging days are through!
I can give thanks to my wife for alot of my new confidence there!
Allena... finally free!

I have purged so many times that I've lost my count. I haven't done it for a long time, but when I was young (even younger than I am now, I'm just 21:)), I used to get rid of my stashes quite often. Sometimes I even burned everything I had. Sigh...can you imagine that? What a waste.

That was usually when I was somewhere around 14 to 17 years old. That was the 'golden' time for me, as that's when me and my 3 older sisters used to all live under the same roof. Just imagine all those clothes that surrounded me!

Ahh, to be young again.

No, they never found out. I learned to be very unnoticeable. :)

Now that I remember those times, it was extremely fun. The fear of getting caught was sometimes nearly overwhelming, but the desire to try on their clothes was even stronger.

In fact, my sisters still have no idea. Many times I've nearly told them, but I always chicken out in the end.

Hi again,

Ok... thanks for posting what happened so quickly. :)

The closest I came to that nirvana was when I'd visit relatives who had multiple women in the household. You're right about the urge to dress being stronger than the fear of getting caught.

After reading the story about the boy who's parents changed him to a girl after a botched circumcision, I understand more how these urges were natural to us and not perverted as some would have us believe. You can't make someone TG'd, they are born that way.

I hope I will never find myself in a situation where the people I love wouldn't accept my way of life.

Tina wrote:I have one too many times. In fact finding this board is a return from a purge. My reasons have been the same and one is to try to make my wife happy and because I had in the past been afriad of what my friends would think. I dont worry anymore about me personally since now I am comfortable with the fact that I am a crossdresser and I wont deny myself the need to be Tina however I am still worried about my wife her friends and family would never understand and there for I still have to be very carefull and for that reason I may still may purge again since she is the most important person in my life and I would be totally lost with out her.

Hi Tina,

Glad you're back from a purge and that you've joined us here. Maybe the next time you go to purge, just hide, hide, hide it. This way you can save yourself some serious dinero. ;)

What is your wife's reaction to dressing or have you not brought this up?

I completely relate with your feelings and hope you find a path to being able to be true to yourself, while being able to not upset your life too much.

Hi Tina,
We're all glad to have you and thank you ^@^ so much for explaining more about your relationship and about your most recent purge.

I think people who share their lives here are so selfless because they help those who are afraid to post. They also help them feel they aren't alone. I have no doubt there's a kindered spirit here who doesn't post and read your story and went, "yes!". :)

Telling our Wifes/SOs and being honest is the MOST IMPORTANT thing we can do. I applaud you for your honesty, it's freaggin' hard to do! There are plenty of times I'd just like to shut the hell up, but I don't and I tell my wife what I've been thinking or feeling. Even if I know it will make both of us uncomfortable for a while.

You're right. As you introduce her to this more and more she will be less afraid and feel more involved. :)

Again I thank you for your kind words, and I wish you the best. :)

I must have voted and forgot to post.
Yes I have purged once though it was not a complete purge. I had items I had aquired from one of my younger sisters (she is only 11 months younger then I am) and my older sister (two years my senior). Also other items rescued from the trash or the garage rag bin. I was caught by my mother and I told her a lie to get out of trouble. At the time I had on under my shirt a pink bodysuit I had bought from Target. I told her I had borrowed it from a friend at shool because I wanted to know how it felt like on (What she did not know is the friend I said I borrowed it from was a lot taller then my at the time). After that when she was not home I took everything except that bodysuit out to the trash. I hid the bodysuit so it would not be found. Other then that I only get rid of things if they do not fit or have worn out.

I have never purged! I have given away things that I bought and did not like. I have a pair of 5" heels (I got a good deal on them) but they just don't fit my wardrobe. My wife says I have expensive taste so I have to try and "dress-down" when I go out. I know you all have seen the fashion sense that prevades our culture now. Most GG's just don't seem to care how they look anymore - most unfortunate. The more unfortunate aspect is that if we go out dressed and we look nice (not slutty or even over dressed) we still draw possibly more attention than we want.
Stay beautiful. Love,
