Just told one of my best friends about my crossdressing... Lets say im gonna need a new desk chair because i s**t my pants a few times before i dared to tell him. I had to really, i needed advice and it was related to my CD life. He took it better than i ever expected, thank god. I was faced with the dilemma if i should tell my daughter or not, and who better qualified to give his opinion then someone who really knows us. Still faced with the dilemma though lol.

The quickie is that if you raised your child to be as open and tolerant as you are then the child will be okay with it all. If you child is too young to understand, that's got certain problems and if your kid is too old and has had time to be tainted then that's yet another problem.

Although our paths are a bit different, I can relate to your situation too. It was also about two months into it here, when I said I wanna see ME!. My wife tried out a few hairstyles on me, and did my makeup too, then took the pics hahaha. It was also my wife who named me. for me, that day is Karins birthday. It's an amazing moment for sure, and congratulations to you both

Like the others say, baby steps are good. You have a lot of changes going on at the moment, so it may help if you try not to rush things along. You have all the time in the world, and opportunities arise when the time is right for things like telling your daughter. Timing is everything IMO. It'll happen when it needs to.

In the meantime, keep up the open conversations, and enjoy life as it unfolds

I have a 19y/o son who told me something, needless to say I should not expect any grandchildren from that son. Of course I told him I am his father and will always love him no matter who he is. SOooo I felt...why not share my secret with him as we each had a kind of secret, mine more than his. and he stated if I can recall as we were driving along well can't recall it was a year or so ago, but he stated basically so what. You are who you are. He promised not to tell my 16 year old son, I want to wait until he is 18. I felt safe because we both fit into that LGBT thing. Only I am not G or B but I may be a male L - ha!

So my daughter knows now. Showed her a picture of myrdin, well, my gf did. I couldnt get it said for some reason. Anyhow, her reaction blew my mind. Funniest part was that it took her to notice it was taking in the bedroom here before it hit her...is that daddy? She didnt think i would make such a pretty girl (her words). But she knew allready she said. My ex told her allready that "daddy liked to wear dresses"...sigh. So my ex tried to start some problem but it seems she failed bigtime. I asked my daughter if she realised why her mum told her that and she does, "but", she added, "dont worry daddy, if i could i would live with you always". And there i was crying like a little baby. And a while ago i asked her once if there was someting she would not like, that much that she would be gutted by it soo much she would loose respect for me. "So thats why you asked? Dont worry daddy, i always love you". Do I have an amazing daughter or what?

You gotta love the new generations for their understanding and tolerance these days eh? That's one theory and in part it's true, but personally I think it's mainly testement to how good of a parent you are and have been. To me it reads that your daughter loves you for being you, no matter what obsticles life throws out there, and it's priceless.

My daughter finally met Myrdin. She kept asking to see her so i gave in. Expected lots of laughter ect but nothing of the sort. Made into a kind of family-happening if you can call it that. My SO (kayla) was doing my hair while i was doing my daughter's. Was quite fun really. And she stayed next to me when i started with my make up. Here and there was a small giggle because she saw her daddy 'dissapear' and Myrdin appear. But she absolutely loved it. Eventually we went to watch a move together and my daughter came laying next to me, hugging me constantly. Was soo great. I am soooooo glad i told her and showed her.

And a funny thing happened.... Ran into my ex and her new bf few days ago. And they apologised to me for acting like muppets until now. Couldnt believe what i heard.

Hox goes the saying? I came full circle? Something like that? Well, i did :D
