Reasons some don't post much

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Reasons some don't post much

Post by DeeDee »

I feel bad having read the thread “Members” in “Ask Us”. There are many reasons why one doesn’t post a lot, in my case being a 24/7 caregiver for an elderly parent. Some here are caregivers for spouses and let me tell you…..its not easy and takes a lot out of you. I used to get out quite a bit but not in awhile now. Yes I got out, but that doesn’t make me an “elitist” since I was in the closet for many, many years. Triess was my start and I recommend them to anyone wanting to try getting out of the closet. I made some very good friends, but anyone can do that also…just put on your big girl panties and make a phone call. I always said “I don’t want to be on my death bed wishing I had done….” Thankfully my SO is still with me after all this and she even gave me a nice Shadowline nightie for Christmas. So, don’t write us all off….heck, I’ll be back with a vengeance when things settle down (albeit as a little old lady). =D> And the help and advice on this forum was very instrumental in my “getting out”. I hope some of my posts encouraged others…it wasn’t bragging. So take care and you can do what you dream of…just make that step. :-k

DeeDee - great to hear from you! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now - acting as a carer. Lovely to hear that your SO is so supportive! Believe it or not, that gives hope to so many of us! Well - it does to me at least!

Anyhoo - juss wanted to send my best to the pair of you!

Personally I really like seeing your posts DeeDee. You sound like you've got enough on your plate right now - and I'm beginning to wish I hadn't got into linking the elitist thing with going out. I don't think you do it, in fact I don't think it's prevalent here at all - but I've definitely felt put off by its presence elewhere.

Everyone has their reasons for not posting and really it shouldn't be an issue. Like we want a nice space where people feel able to come and go as they want without pressure - and I think that's what we've got.

God knows we get enough pressure from the rest of the world without having to inflict it on ourselves.

Hi DeeDee, great to hear from you again!

Certainly we will not like to imply that you or anyone has an obligation to post........ but we do enjoy hearing from you and getting some updates.
It's very true, life circumstances control how much time and effort we are granted for sharing with our friends here; I know that myself it can be a very long time between posts sometimes. But we're all good with that, right girls??

Well, you know... Life is Life and kind of unpredictable. And, if it wasn't, it wouldn't be Life.

Thanks for all the comments! And a huge HI to all I haven’t chatted with in awhile. This CDing stuff is something something we’re all stuck with…it doesn’t go away, purge all ya want, its part of you…sorry, but true. So just accept it and with someone that doesn’t like it…welll do the best you can. Main reason why I never got married years ago, somehow I knew I had to be honest with her and it does affect your life…career wise, social wise etc. So it’s part of us, major league! Never stopped me from having a great career as a pilot, but it was always on my mind (not while flying)! So, anyway, theres lots of reasons why members don’t post a lot….and I hope SL is gracious enough to cut us some slack [-( . Btw, SL anytime ya get down here again…I’ll be the pregnant lady meeting you!!!!! 8-[ Darn pot belly:) Really love you all, and this is the greatest site on the web!

Of course I do, and rest assured that the vast majority of our members have absolutely nothing to worry about . . . it's the member who rarely visits and/or posts who needs to worry, but that is not etched in stone, nor will I reveal all the criteria used to make that determination. [-(

Well, I'm betting that between Virginia and I we can get that weight off of you in no time at all . . . if 2 state, national and/or world powerlifting champions can't get you in shape, nothing will! :run:
