I remember at a very early age watching the Mickey Mouse club on black and white TV. It was a rare thing as we only saw it while visiting my Aunt in Denver, CO. This would be around 1962 or so? Annette was always so lovely, talented and cute. I wanted to be Annette dancing in the flaired skirt...

Oh yeah!!! And doing a nice twirl in that skirt too!!!
I actually got to wear a nice pleated plaid skirt (not the same as the MM Club's) and 'do the twirl' in front of a mirror! It was nice to fulfill that fantasy!
I was a big fan, too. I must have been about five when I first saw her on the Mickey Mouse club. I had a big crush on her. My friend Kevin says he did, too, but he did something about it. He wrote her, and got an autographed picture. Wow! He says he lost it during his teen years, though.
