A happy birthday!!

Yesterday was my 55th birthday, and since it was gorgeous, I decided to slip into a one-piece bathing suit and sun myself on my back porch for awhile before beginning a wonderful day.
After shopping and buy two skirts and tops at a Coldwater Creek, I visited my favorite lingerie shop in Plainville, Conn.
Irene's is a wonderful, ultra-friendly little shop with everything a woman's heart desires and the owner, Christine is so supportive and consider and classy and helpful that one almost doesn't want to leave.
Last week, I bought a beige high-waisted Rago girdle and several pair of stockings; this week, she matched the girdle with a beautiful matching long-line bra, but only after a careful measurement and showing me several different sizes...it fit snugly and wonderfully!
I was wearing a black and white print dress from Jones NY and she complimented me on it, which made me feel so good...I was running late for a mid-afternoon lunch, but I could have cared less...I did call to say I was running late.
I noticed that there were wigs available, and Christine helped me with trying on several looks, long, medium and short in differing colors, and she and her assistant Louise (another wonderful lady) were honest and soooo helpful in helping me make a choice, which I was very happy with.
I will pick up the wig next Wednesday, along with a garter belt and some panties which are on order, giving me a reason to go back!!!
Before I left, Christine was so classy - she gave me a gorgeous necklace as a birthday present, which I was reluctant to accept, but she was insistent.
A wonderful day; I enjoyed my birthday lunch with friends, went home, changed into my new long line bra and into a new dress for dinner at a nice restaurant in Litchfield, Conn.
A wonderful, girly birthday!!!!
