Hopefully the therapist is neutral and will not try to unduly influence you to quit as the comprise for you guys. Not every therapist is a good therapist nor do many know how our community of girls' minds work.

Hope it all works out, but we know it's going to take time.

I have discussed it with my Psychologist but I have never discussed it with my sisters who live several states away and whom I rarely see and one is very traditional. My Parents are both gone now, I kept this from them because I knew they would never accept it, I know my mother would never reject me but she would never accept this part of who I am either. My closest sister is more pragmatic, and If I tell anyone it may be her....Of course my wife knew, told one adult son, and posted something about it on a dating site, and still blog with a lady who accepted it, we correspond almost every day.

Sounds like therapy is going well so far I hope you find the understanding, acceptance and reconciliation you are looking for, it is wonderful to have a supportive partner. My wife kind of understood but there is a difference between accptance and tolerence.
