What are you cooking?

Post by Maria S. »

Breakfast time over here.
I'm having egg whites on toast with some fried salami. Yumsa.
Unfortunately I have to watch my cholesterol and had to cut back on yolks. Darn. They were the best part.

This morning not really going to cook because we are leaving on a trip but yesterday morningn I fixed biscuits and gravey, scrambled eggs, hash browns and ham. Then for lunch we had steakd and baked potato with corn on the cob. We only eat two meals on Sundays so we go all out on the two we do have.

Breakfast bowl -- diced hash browns, browned in butter flavored cooking spray, break up and add one piece of bacon, turkey sausage, green onion and cook together, mix in egg whites, some cheese, ground black pepper to taste. YUM! :) Can also add table spoon of white sausage gravy in place of cheese. Also YUM!!

Yesterday morning I fixed scrambled eggs and maple flavored sausage links. Usually I'll make omelets for my wife on Sunday mornings, but she wanted scrambled yesterday.

I stay out of town three nights a week for work purposes. Monday I'm tired and have to unload my things and drag them into the apartment, so I'm having frozen pizza. I'll doctor it up with some extra pepperoni and cheese. Yumsa. Ha ha.

Day five of GTA V syndrome here. I'm really going to have to peel myself off the couch and do some food shopping. Even Mr Tails is starting to look appetising :-k

One more mission first...

Another banana bread. Got it down well, and love my new oven.

I had pizza tonight too Carol :) Just started some beans, lentils, and chick peas for some chili tomorrow. Slow cooker season has started here, there will be lots of chili/soups/stews during the cold months coming.
