I've been a member of crossdressers for awhile now, but am always wondering if there are any others in upstate NY. I seem to connect with some really nice people, but as we "upstaters" know, it's a big world out there!! Anybody care to relate? We have our own unique weather, sports and many other fun things to discuss and would just like to find some nice people to relate to in this area I removed my pic and avatar a bit ago, but will update soon!

I was looking for some others in my area and the only ones I found were some guys who were interested in homo sectual sex. They are not the ones that I want to associate with. Be careful and make your inquiries discretely. I am not trying to be judgemental but that is just not my thing.

I've only met one CD - but she was another member of this forum, Paula G. She, on the other hand, joined a support group local to her. If you want to meet other CDs, the support group route would be the way to go.

I would agree that you need to be careful and that it has been hard for me to meet others of like mindset. The couple I have met have been members of this forum for a while and they have all been great friends. I would think that a support group or reaching out to others girls here on the forum would be your best bet.

To meet other 'like-minded' CDs for friendship, the local support group is definitely one option. Another option would be to make friends with the girls on the forum - there are quite a few in the Upstate area - and meet with them face-to-face.


Virginia and I have met quite a few members - locally and whenever we travel, and in drag or drab as the situation warranted - and everyone we have met we are glad to call friends, girlfriends, sisters . . . and that goes for the members that we have never met but have had the pleasure of burning up the telephone lines for hours on end.

Thank you so much for your replies. I was on for a bit a while back and then laid low for a bit. I too, am in the closet and when I started hearing all the horror stories of emails being tracked.....well...it kind of freaked me out a bit. Plus, I made a good friend through here and things seemed to go awry when we started emailing and getting into areas of conversations -- such as politics-- and I decided to cool it a bit on this site. Besides, the summer months are not my best months to be Jenny as I can't shave my legs or underarms!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaarggghhh.... I hate the hair, but when I have to live with it, well.....man is the meal of the day!!!
I hope to hear more from some upstaters. I did check into the support groups, but I'm not into the organized groups that proclaim "we are here to help you and support you". I don't need help and support, just some good friends that like to express their feminine side.

Thanks again for your responses and I will be posting pictures soon. Just need the time to do it right. I do clean up nice, if I say so myself!

Not easy Jen. Sorry but it isn't and we have an advert on TV here "Not Happy Jen". Just ignore me. I'm too far away to offer companionship (Australia). But sites like this have helped me make connections in the real world too. Just this week I had lunch with someone I originally met on a site like this and next week another friend first met this way is going out with me for the evening. Just keep posting and it can happen.
