I just bought a couple of movies today. And w/o the DVD remote I can't watch em!
If you can't find the remote, replacements are available - you should write down the brand/model of the player and check out dept/electronics/etc stores.
My DVD player is an older (4 yr old) Sony that does have enough controls so I can run it without the remote, although I would have to walk across the living room to start/stop/pause/etc.
I hope you find your remote. If not, I hope I provided you a little help.
Keeping on topic, one of my pet peeves is those **expletive** beginning sequences on DVDs that I can't bypass and have to sit through each and every time I want to watch them.

Thanks for the tips hon! I shall look into it.

Here here! You have to sit thru 10 minutes of previews until the menu comes up.Jadeanne wrote:one of my pet peeves is those **expletive** beginning sequences on DVDs that I can't bypass and have to sit through each and every time I want to watch them.

hint: hit fast-forward (or sometimes fast-fast-forward, depending on your machine). sometimes hitting the menu button on your remote works too.Lorna wrote:Thanks for the tips hon! I shall look into it.

the copyright warnings cannot be skipped, but previews usually can, you just have to know how (and of course, they won't tell you!).
