Re: Bra fittings
I just bought a new bra three days ago. I wasn't fitted by anyone. I new what size I thought I needed as my previous bra was a size or two smaller than I felt comfortable wearing. I also go a smaller cup size, since I don't have any real flesh to fill it out. I absolutely love my new bra. It feels so nice to wear it.

Re: Bra fittings
A bra fitting is certainly advised. I have just enquired about going to Bravissimo in Manchester UK. They would be happy to accommodate me. When you go you wear a bra & they size it from that

Deanna, what kind of bra did you get?

Re: Bra fittings
No Bra fitting for me. I tried my wifes bra first time and stuffed it with socks...very lumpy. from there I could tell that a 38 or 40 would work and I use water balloons and generally go with a D-cup...I love big boobs. Water balloons seem to look most natuaral except sometimes with a low cut top they "peek" out...lol

Re: Bra fittings
Hi Erica , I just bought a cheap bra at a discount clothing store. There are no name brand on it or anything. I knew what size my chest was in inches and noticed the bra was the same size and I thought I would get it. My previous bra, my first, was way to tight. I am learning as I go.

Didn't comment when I voted (I think I voted, anyway
).
I'm in the never camp. But a New Years Resolution is to get a fitting before the forth of July!
Do I get to vote again after that???

I have never been for a bra fitting. Found my size by trial and error and now do not have any problems.

Re: Bra fittings
For starters you need to go to a full service store that will actually do a fitting. This leaves out the low end stores like wallymart and similar stores. Then where to go depends a bit on your size. If you are an average GG size I have been fitted at a Victoria secret store. If you are on the full figure side you can go to Lane Bryant. Those are just the two I have been fitted at, I also know other full service stores do fittings but have not been there like Catherines, JCP, Yonkers. The big thing is you need to ask to be fitted. Once you ask then you can relax and let them do the work.
Have fun.

Re: Bra fittings
For the very timid, there are stand alone foundation stores. They are harder to find, but most likely, you'll be the only customer in the store as they are not high volume in sales. Some here in the Chicago area advertise to the trans community.
My husband had been 'borrowing' my bras (another possible topic) as we are close to the same size (expletive deleted), he did visit one of these stores for a waist cincher.
I mentioned earlier of finally getting a fitting myself, went to Lane Bryant. I used to think that any male customers were simply buying something for the wife. VS is for the girlfriend.

Re: Bra fittings
Being a bit timid to go into a Soma store, I tried the "Live Help" on Soma's site. Made the mistake of telling "Colleen" that I was a guy. After a few minutes of nothing, I got a message saying the "computer" is ending the chat. Now if I try there's "no agents available to help" and I notice the website shown at the top seems to indicate that I'm blacklisted!

Re: Bra fittings
I tried to get a bra fitting years ago when My Wife went in for one
on herself. The "Boss Lady" would not let me get fitted.
I found that most stores do not carry a band size I need. (54)
So I am stuck with the catalogs.
So far I have been very lucky; there are not many bra's on the market
with my band size. I have different cup sizes depending on witch forms
I decide to use.
I like wearing a bra at bed time, the "Hug" feeling just puts me to sleep.
