Hi, Sandie, and welcome to the forum.
Just a suggestion, but you might want to wander over to the New Members - Introductions & Welcomes section and introduce yourself to everyone.
As far as wearing your high heels to bed, I would not agree with that either.
First of all, shoes do not belong either on or in the bed. Second, wearing heels - or any shoes - while sleeping does not give your feet a chance to adequately rest, and this is very important as all your nerve endings are in your feet (which is where the art of Reflexology originates). Even wearing hose to bed is not recommended, but that does have a lesser chance of impacting your health.
Try to work out a compromise with your wife as to your having time to wear your high heels . . . but sleeping with them on is definitely not a good idea.

Re: stockings and heels
Silver Lady offers some sound advice here Sandie. I have never intentionally slept with my shoes on, at least not if you don't count some of those long drawn out business meetings.
As for stockings, well I have slept in those a few times after, well you know.

Re: stockings and heels
Dear Sandie, this wife would put a stop to any kind of shoes in bed. Unless you have a house full of young ones that are awake 24/7, I can't imagine that there is no other time for you to wear heels. If you want your wife to accept what you do, don't make her mad when she needs rest.
My husband wears heels more often than I do. We are empty nesters now, so he has plenty of time.

There is no such thing as a floor being 'perfectly clean' unless you are literally living in a vacuum (no, not a vacuum cleaner, but a vacuum - big difference). Regardless, shoes do not belong in the bed.SandieG wrote: By the way i only wear my heels around the house so they r not dirty
Even with college-age kids at home you should have fairly good knowledge of their schedules to know when you will have 'free time' to wear your heels around the house without them being home to see you.

Re: stockings and heels
Sounds like you may be infatuated with how your legs look in hose and heels. Understandable.
But I would think the heels would be hard on the life expectancy of the sheets?

I've worn stalkings to bed before but not heels. I love the softness. Is it the heels that bug your wife?
