Racerback Bras

Post by Heather W »

I have had a rough night sleeping so been surfing since about 2 this morning. Was looking at herroom.com and saw that Maidenform, my favorite bras, now come in racerback styles for a lot of them. Have any of you girls ever worn a racerback style bra for everyday, not a sports bra. How was it, was it comfortable? Did t do as god a job of supporting your forms?

In younger days, some outfits I wore showed a lot of shoulder. The racer back bras are a much better option than strapless for feeling secure in holding the girls in place. They do feel different till you get used to them.

Yes Heather racerback bras hold forms just fine. At least with my forms the do. I only wear a 38B so the are not very large. I have no idea how they would work with larger forms. With certain sleeveless dresses found the straps on regular bra showed. I tried a racerback and it was perfect. This is the one I have. I have it in black and the fuchsia. As Eileen said they do take some getting used to as they feel very different but once you do they are just like a regular bra. Not sure I would wear one on a day to day basis but as a change of pace they are nice.

Thanks for the input. I am going to have to try one to see how they are. I was thinking of this one as I have been a Maidenform girl for a while.

I have a couple of racerback style bras and like them and they are comfortable. For some tops a racer back or strapless bra is needed. I prefer the support and straps of a racerback bra with forms over a strapless bra. Of course showing bra straps does not seem to be an issue these days for many GG's and seems like it is the in thing to do. I personally do not like the look of a regualar bra with a racer back tank top but I see it being done alot.

Racerback bras have a purpose and I have one for those tops or dresses which may be cut a little short on the shoulders. They sure beat a strapless bra and the struggles to keep them in place! :(

I am with you on this one Kim! *-* It is sad that today's woman doesn't even want to make the effort to keep her undergarments out of sight where they belong! I see it way too often up here and wonder what would their mothers and/or grandmothers say? I have 3 step-granddaughters, ages 20, 17, and 15, and thankfully my step daughters taught their daughters better!
