Beauty hurts, no pain no gain

I made a mistake of starting to apply hair remover on my chest and belly first, then my arms and then my upper legs and lower legs. By doing so after removing hair from the belly, I had to bend over to reach my legs. This caused the hair remover cream to come in contact with my belly again and again, resulting in large red marks.

The reason I did it this way is because I bought a different hair remover for my legs that is shower friendly, thinking I want to do the legs at last.

Well lesson learned, the hard way. Feels and look like heavy sun burn.

Then finally it became time for make-up. This didn't work out as planned either. I did manage to conceal with foundation the mustache area. Then finally ready to go take my portraits, my daughter called to invite me for dinner. (I just told her earlier that day my orientation)

So after quickly taking the pictures I had to remove most of my make-up and finger nail polish, which was also a hurting game, since my fingers where also partly "burned" by applying the hair remover. Needless to say, the nail polish remover stringed my fingers.

Okay i,v got news for you and it ant half bad ...er much....I have been using an , if i spell it , an epilater what ever thing.e. for some 10 years and my hair is around 8 % over all on my body ..

Now i know you wont try this ..... oh come on it,s fun do it on your face, all of it, He He .....it works now did i say pain ,,,,oh what s that , well i tryed a pain cream oh yea worked like water off the ducks back useless, now iv been doing it for oh some two months every day .

I have a very high pain extreem limit so can with stand it and i put my body into a hold off i tell you try it ,.....not, any way its working and the pain is oh about 10 % out of a 100. and i know we can with stand extreem pain better than ....some..... others,

Funny as its not even like when i got stung , Bees , on my lower leg from our bee hives little black ones, they got stroppy with me, i worked with them and some 15 or so wham gee i knew about that ,

well there you are pain at its best, oh sorry must... not ....laugh,,,,,,Oh dear........

Yes laughing is okay, I can laugh at it now myself. I feel so much better now. Lesson learned for sure.

Still red belly and sensitive fingers.

Talked to one of my daughters yesterday and she knew what I was talking about, she even mentioned using the same brand, Nair, and she don't use it no longer, just razors.

Today went much better when I woke up, I am en Femme now, feeling just great.

Dear Ms. Erin,

You played with a lot of chemicals honey! And got burned. A nice shaver will work much better than Nair, I found it hard to wash off without leaving a greasy feeling.
I've never had to shave my belly, , the husband only shaves the areas that show around the neck and near cleavage.

As with any great endeavor, there are no short cuts. Buy some perfumed bath oils and enjoy a good shave!

Thanks Eileen, I guess I did mix some chemicals by using different Nair products, although I was thinking they are based on the same main product. Anyway, dear, I am not going to use them again soon.

I used to have so much hair its ridicules, on my belly was not as bad as the rest of my body but still I want to be hair free, all the way, around every corner etc. I am alone so there is no way yet to get rite of my back hair, but one lady (thank you Andrea dear) has suggested a special shaver that can reach my back, so I be looking at that one day.

A ladies electric razor, a broom handle, and some duct tape?
Certainly I understand the desire to be bodily hair free to appear as a female. Unless you're really fuzzy, consider the constant maintenance.
My husband only shaves areas that will show. His belly and back are not thick growth and he does not wear shear clothing anyway.
Being single has the plus side that you can do as you like, the down side is just being single. While accepting the husbands dressing, there is no way I'll ever shave his back. Consider waxing, but that has to hurt. Which is, of course, your point of pain and beauty.

Looking pretty is never easy!

Thank you again Eileen. I just came back from Walgreens with a bunch of products to help my self with my beauty. This time I wrote my questions on a piece of paper and consulted the makeup specialist. She helped me with most of the goodies, including lotions and a better makeup product.

And I did asked for the different options in shaving products (after explaining my burns) and she showed me some products both male and female. I did see the electric razors, but now at home come to realize that I did forget to purchase one. We went all over the different isles to go from one product to another, wow so many different products. (and corresponding prize differences)

Anyway lots of stuff to try. (85 dollars worth) A new slogan next to beauty is pain, beauty is also costly. (but worth it)

I've not had good results with the chemical route either.

A nice razor, some quality shaving cream, and time. It's a lot of work to keep it up, but that's life.
I also use an epilator that I think works well, but it takes even more time than shaving. The advantage there is that you don't need water so you could do it while watching TV or something. Unless you live with someone, then they would object to that idea

I also like getting my legs waxed, when I can find a place that does it well. When I was in Arizona, there was a salon where I would get my nails done and legs waxed, but I don't know any places around here.

This morning when I came home from work I followed Ms. Eileen's advise and took a nice bubble bath and shaved my self with the old fashion razor. It came out pretty good and I enjoy nice smooth legs, arms and chest/belly. I also bought a Remington ladies shaver to see what that will do. It's a shame I have to go to work tonight, but then when I come home in the morning I can "pamper" myself in the bathroom and be a happy girl. (note to self: stop at Walgreens and pick up a variety of perfumed bath oils)

Living single and living with someone both have its benefits, but I think it will be a very rewarding relationship if living together and accept /respect each other with who you are.

For now I want to life single. But you never know what the future might bring, but I am not searching.

Waxing? No... I don't like the idea of pain.

You're almost there, Ms. Erin! To get the most out a beauty bath, don't soak in the same water you shave in, yuk. Drain the tub and take a quick rinsing shower. Put on a robe while the tub fills with fresh, hot water along with a favorite scent. Lock the doors and turn off the phone, this will be a good time to enjoy classical music. Pour yourself some wine and keep the bottle handy. Let your troubles go down the drain. You'll be totally relaxed and smell so pretty even the next day or so.

Ya well, life gets in the way sometimes. Our children are grown up with families of their own. Still, it's hard to find the time to relax properly.

We have drifted from your topic that beauty hurts. It doesn't have to. Portraying as feminine is a little bit different than being feminine. Since you live single, Ms. Erin, you are able to indulge in long baths and in the subtle nuances of being female. More simply said, shaving and baths take longer.

Erin, I have been using Veet, and I find it less irritating, but just as effective as Nair
