Tight, Knee Length Skirt

Post by Martha G »

Hi girls!

You have seen my pictures and I do make a fairly nice looking, passable woman.

I am 72 years old.

If I would go out in a tight, knee length skirt, do you think that it would draw attention?

I would prefer to blend in , though I don't think a mature lady would get many wolf whistles.

Your advise please.

Thanks.

Hmm, probably... maybe... not sure. Why don't you post a pic for us so we can see. Or, is that the skirt you're referring to in that new pic with the light blue top toasting a glass of wine? If so, you look wonderful, a classy lady indeed. Very appropriate! =D>

Dear Martha,

Us mature women tend to push limits at skirts close to, or above the knee. A tight skirt will draw attention on any lady. Unless you're rich and famous, you will not blend well. The only skirts I wear are not intended to be tight in the first place. You present as a very nice woman. Wear clothing that fits correctly and age appropriate.

Fantasies are to be lived at home Martha. I dress in mini skirts in private and would never wear them out.

I agree with Eileen. Mature women dress nicely and set the examples.

Your photos are presentation are very appropriate for women of our age. (I am not far behind in age). Please don't spoil your image as you look terrific.

If you have the shape to make it look good, wear what you want.

A question about what you mean as a 'tight' skirt. Tight around the butt, and flares out? Only if you have a tiny rear end will that work. Or like a pencil skirt, tight to the knees where you can hardly walk? A form fitting skirt doesn't have to be restrictively tight.
For a casual setting (as in grocery or clothes shopping) and wishing to blend in, any kind of skirt may draw some attention. You may want to look like a woman, but most women now days dress like slobs. (Guilty of the same.)

I do have a tiny rear and slender hips.

I was thinking more in line of a pencil skirt, where the skirt is tight about the knees.

Again I am new to this. I would like a form fitting skirt that is somewhat tight around the knees.

I also agree with Eileen, and try to dress as I'm sure she does. In my world, skirts are intended to be very very full. I love the motion, the sway, and what the gentle breezes do. Circle skirts are my favorite, followed closely by pleated shirtdresses and skirts.

That is just me. Be who you want to be, or who you dare to be.

Hugs,

While tight pencil skirts may be sexy and great for dates they certainly do not lend themselves well to everyday life. I remember the first time I tried to climb into my Tahoe with a knee length tight skirt  , took a bit to do it somewhat gracefully. Nonetheless take a good look in the mirror Martha before you go out and think of what you are going to be doing while out. I am sure you will make the right choice to what skirt style to wear.

I like pencil skirts with heels, they look great and are classy at the same time. Of course you won't be running any 100 yard dashes, but then again one should always pick the correct outfit for the occasion. And if you don't happen to have exactly the right outfit - GO SHOPPING!!!!! :P

But the trick to getting into any vehicle when wearing a skirt or dress is to put your butt in first, then keeping your feet together, swing your legs around.

When one owns a Mustang and likes short skirts one learns that very quickly! Still I know I have flashed a good deal of thigh when getting in or out.

Ralitsa I have been wearing skirts for close to 35 years now on almost a daily basis, believe me I know how to get in and out of a car in a tight skirt. You have to try it in a high vehicle with running boards and spike heels and you will understand what I was talking about.

I know what you mean Heather about Mustangs. I have had several over the years, still do, and they can be a challenge. Try putting the tilt wheel all the way up, at least that way you have some room to swing your legs in and out.

Dear Martha,

Sometimes us GG's tend to get lax and no longer dress as pretty as we could. Last night, us and another couple met for dinner out. Nothing fancy, just friends getting together at a local eatery. Despite the chill air and thinking of some of the topics here, I wore a pencil style, just below the knee length, skirt. I was more thrilled that the darn thing still fit than how it looked. How it looked made a big difference in how the rest of the evening went.
Now I'll be more critical if he dresses in tight skirts!

Hey Eileen!

How about a knee length, tight skirt in leather!

Wow!

Some men are attracted to mature women that wear leather :) Clothing choices depend on where you are going anyway.
Never much liked leather myself, except for belts and purses.
If you got the booty, Martha, flaunt it!
