So far what I do

Post by Myranda »

I'm still in the beginning stages so many things seem fun to me that you ladies do daily haha. Thus far the most exciting thing was driving to walmart and walking around for a long time, purchasing a few items then walking around the mall shipping for a while. Sounds pretty lame but for me my heart was racing haha. It was first time in public in full outfit, make up and heels. Quite the adventure :) was disappointed I didn't get any compliments but I did get quite a few looks.. but tight jeans and a bouncing bosom will have that affect ;)

:) Many find the most exciting thing was driving to walmart, much less getting out and shopping!

Your confidence and courage far outweighs mine. I am strictly a home only CD'er.

Myranda,
Hopefully your looks were not because you could pass for a Walmartian. BUT if you're comfy then you go girl. Got to be proud; it's important.

If you want compliment's then you need to be more average; then look better than average. Who were you wanting compliments from? I don't think in all the times I saw a big busted tight pantsed girl did I have much reason to compliment her. I tend to compliment the girls that dress nice, look nice and have a wonderful smile. Yesterday at my watering hole a woman sat close by covered from neck down with a loose but nice flowing dress and opaque tights. I simply got her attention and said, "nice dress;" she smiled and thanked me. I don't consider myself pretty, but I manage to wrangle a compliment from people just by looking nice.

I have become quite comfortable with who I am but I shop online because though many men may shop in the ladie's section for gifts for their wives and girl friends, I know it is for me and I cannot shake that others do too. I do all of my shopping online. I have driven dressed night and day but have only stopped and gotten out of the car under conditions which would make me a prime target for a serial killer, deserted in the middle of the night! Will I eventually at age 58 or some time after this venture out in public dressed in feminine mode never say never but not as long as my sons are still around. If I were totally alone I bet I would start to take road trips .... I mean around town as a next step. One son is living in an apartment and only comes by about once a week, the other still lives here and is in and out and has told me he would rather not see me dressed so I don't around him but it does crimp my style.

Oh don't get me wrong I was ultra nervous. Not so much that someone might think I wasn't who I was dressed as but because I live in a smallish town and work for a company that sees many people so I didn't want someone being like hey don't you work for that company and it'd be ultra awkward or worse they take a picture and show my Co workers. But a friend of mine once said people don't REALLY look at people as much as we think they do. You might be nervous looking and panties thinking that everyone is watching you when in reality probably no one is because they are in their own little worlds.

I hope I didn't fill the walmartian role that'd make me sad. I wasn't really expecting compliments I just had high hopes as a confidence booster. I'm not by any means insinuating I'm some foxy lady but I had hopes of getting some positive attention ahhhhhhh alas a girl can dream right Lol. Oh i was wearing tight jeans and tight shirt because i was dressing my age, im 24 so figured it made sense.
I don't know how to upload pictures so I can't really get an opinion from you ladies.
I think my hair looks horrible because I don't know how to discreetly get a good wig so there's that, and I know my make up needs work but thought I looked decent at best.

(Figured out the gallery got some up... be nice :) please)

Oh i forgot to add that on my visit through the mall I had to use the ladies room for the first time... that was absolutely terrifying. Both men's and ladies doors are right by the main entrance and the doors lead right out to the main walk so it's not like I could secretly go in one or the other and walk out unnoticed. Kinda felt like a creeper but I just thought I'm a lady so I can use the ladies room, I may not be genetically a female but I am one on the inside so I'll be fine. It was a success...however I left right after that, way to much emotions going on

I checked you out, nope -- not a walmartian. :) Yeppers, you were age appropriate too. Some days I certainly feel like a walmartian; fortunately women have good days and bad days with their hair, makeup and choice of outfit so we are all allowed to be okay that day instead of perfect.

BTW, good you didn't wet your panties before going to the ladies room or in it :) I don't know if you were alone or not but you simply take care of business, wash up, do any necessary primping short of taking your wig off and fluffing it and you should be fine. I take the moment to adjust and brush my hair some since I have a good mirror and not much of an audience. The stall is a perfect place to adjust anything else needing adjusting too.

You mentioned wig. Girl... that's one of the easiest of things to get. You stroll into your fave wig shop or shop with a good choice and ask to try on a few. You will not be their first transgender person nor the last. They will take good care of you or they will lose your sale and everyone you told how you were treated. The hardest part about wig shopping is knowing what you want that looks good so again, let them help.

Thank goodness!! I was really hoping I wouldn't get walmartian status but I'm basically brand new so I wouldn't of been surprised haha but Thank you :). I wasn't alone in there but when I left I was, not that I waited or anything it just worked out that way.

I don't I think wig would be easiest because I'm still a bit shy and don't want anyone to know just yet. For clothes, make up, shoes etc I just look like a guy buying stuff for the gf but to get fitted for a wig it gets a little more personal, no more excuses. So that's what makes it hard for me I guess haha. The hair I have now is halloween wig.... don't judge lol.

What's cost of a wig roughly??

I think you look fine. Basically you look to have features that are well-suited to CDing and your presence does look female in the photos. I think that's a lot of what it takes to pass.

If you're out dressed up, going into a wig shop should be a breeze for you (apart from the fact that it's a lot of fun).

Myranda,
Wigs run from Halloween prices to the cost of your first born. I have inexpensive wigs running in the $30 range but you can't buy them without touching them and looking them over. I've had low/medium quality human hair in the $150 range. Basically do you "Google;" the prices run along brands. The brands tend to stick within a price range for the customer to whom they cater.

And who said you're not buying a wig for your poor poor bald GF who happens to have a head size exactly the same as yours?

:) thanks everyone for the awesome advice e and letting me know that I look good. It's really a confidence booster :)
I'll have to find a wig shop and see what they can do for my poor bald gf :p lol.

Are lashes a good idea or does that make one look bad or look like they are trying to hard?

Has anyone tried butt or hip pads? I want to look like I have some Feminine curve about me instead of wide shoulders, small hips and a little bit of a butt (decent for a male). I seen a few ladies on youtube and after they put those in they look spectacular. Suggestions?
