It's a big deal for me at least

Post by Sarah Beth »

I know this matters little to anyone but me but I am dressed today. I have my makeup on, such as it is, and all my frillies underneath my dress. It's been months since I have been able to do this and it feels so wonderful to me. I woke up around 5:30 and took a shower and started my day. I was so anxious I was trembling which made it even harder to do my makeup which I am not very good at anyway.

Our granddaughter has been living with us for about 10 months now and since her arrival most of my Sarah things have been in the storage shed. She is away now for a couple of days finally, it's been a tough road but things are looking better so we get a bit of a break and I get to indulge myself at least for the morning.

So for the last three hours now I have been dressed and last night I wore a nightgown to sleep in. I have not felt this relaxed in months. I am not sure if its because I'm dressed or what but I just feel so wonderful right now I had to have some way to let it out.

It may seem silly to everyone else, but am so enjoying this I have already changed what I was wearing twice and I'm going to go change again. I just don't know what I want to wear for sure, other than I know it has to something feminine.

Ok I've got that out of me. I am so glad to have this forum where I can let this out of me.

Sarah,
No need to explain to me at least. Been there, done that. Have a fun day. Enjoy all your outfits no matter how may you try on.

You do have to let these things out. I can find it hard myself.

I've had similar times when the desire to dress is overwhelming and the opportunity is just not available. It's so nice to have a time when you can enjoy the thrill of dressing up totally and not having to worry about anyone interfering.

Thanks for the support everyone, it makes one feel so not alone.

I had a great day. I tried on every dress and skirt I have, not that I have all that much. I do know one thing for certain now I have to have a new LBD. The one I have just seems way to short for me now.

It was a lot of fun trying different looks and trying some different things with makeup. I'm still not very good at it I just don't enough practice.

You are not alone Sarah Beth. I too have just a week of being Requal and thoroughly enjoyed every second.

Having the house to one self at times is a wonderful thing and I too enjoy changing my clothes as my fantasies and mood take me in different directions.

This is not funny or strange at all and is exactly something you can share on the forum, nothing wrong with it at all. I am fortunate that I have more freedom to dress with no one here to object, but there are still visitors who come and the clothing stays in the closet and the drawers. Changing from outfit to outfit...just a symptom of having to bottle it all up for a long period. Gee if there is anyway to widen the circle of those who know in your life you should do so if you feel safe doing so. It is hard for a woman to be intelligent enough to kind of understand, and kind of accept, and who will kind of grudgingly allow you to dress that is the best I was able to receive from my wife. Now of course there are no longer feelings inside myself to make me quibble or feel hesitent or as if I am doing somethng that is "wrong" Partial and no acceptance at are are really quite close so I am so happy I can now dress and feel wonderful and content when I do, though I wish my wife were not struck down with dementia at a young age and declining but what is just IS and you deal with the reality which confronts you as best you are able. Well got to go start working with her...in my sundress and leather flip flops with my painted toe nails etc...
