Well, inspired by Lily's post I dug out my corset again. I haven't got it quite right yet, but nevertheless the difference in shape is dramatic. A while ago I got my hips how I like. Now with the added indentation from the corset it just looks a natural shape (well with clothes over the top).
The added bonus is I'm very aware of my shape when I'm dressed up. So this is bringing me further into feeling female.

Re: help with corsets
I love my pads from Classic Curves (see my post from a couple of days ago http://crossdressers-haven.com/forums/v ... 07#p178171) and Espy Lopez was very helpful getting just the right size but I would much prefer not to have to wear padding... If only I could lose a few more pounds - ugh! Anyway... if you can get away with it go waist reduction first. There are a bunch of places on the net but try the GlamourBoutique.com. They have a pretty good selection of corsets and also carry pads... I have had my eye on their Perfect Hips Silicone Pads but have not tried them yet. If you can't find the corset you want at Glamour Boutique try Corset Story http://www.corset-story.com/corsets.html... I have no personal experience with this online store but they seem to have a wide selection of corsets.Myranda wrote:... So I've been undecided if I want a hip and butt pad combo from this site I found, the combo is called Veronica 5. Or if I want a corset. I love both ideas and I think both would be really pleasing to have but I'm not sure which I want so I'm kinda gathering information then deciding.
Keep us posted about how you make out.

Re: help with corsets
You need to see my response about the "potential" dangers of corsets, waist trainer, etc. Again, these things my be OK for short periods of time, 2 - 3 hours but longer times can put too much stress on your internal organs, moving them out of their natural positions and mashing them sometimes.
Just as an aside, also, if you use "glue-on" breast forms, you have to be very careful that your skin underneath is kept smooth! Creases in the skin then glued can create serious injury to your skin and nipples, so be very careful if you go that route! Yes! personal experience!

Re: help with corsets
When I was 22, I slipped a disc - and as a result of that the doctor put me in a corset. This was a corset for men, designed to provide support for the back so the spine could heal. It didn't work and was probably the wrong approach for me.Virginia wrote:You need to see my response about the "potential" dangers of corsets, waist trainer, etc. Again, these things my be OK for short periods of time, 2 - 3 hours but longer times can put too much stress on your internal organs, moving them out of their natural positions and mashing them sometimes.
But I was supposed to wear it all the time - and on a specialist doctor's orders. It felt uncomfortable and frustrating to wear, but I don't think it actually did me any damage. It is true, though, that it wasn't changing my bodyshape, which is a whole different area.

Yes try AXFORDS in Brighton UK. They have a web siteMyranda wrote:I have no idea what or where to look for all I know is I want an underbust corset that isn't novelty but actually reduces waist. I've Google and youtube it but there is so much out there I really don't know what to get lol.
Any pointers or recommended sites or nation wide stores that could be of help??
Thanks
